Caravela and Rhodium...

So I have watched Caravela for a while and would love to have one for a straight forward mechanical. I have seen multiple reviews and have even emailed, with response, Pedro. The company is first class. The waiting list is huge and I know you can't even get on it till August for a 2014 May run. You can't find used ones, EVER. So people with them speak up. I noticed this relatively new company Precision using Rhodium. Which has a flash point of kryptonite. My question is why still brass on the caravela? I know Pedro is a metallurgist so he has to be aware of this metal. Is it just hype what they say about Rhodium? To me the Caravela is just class and I like that. Do you ever see these mods go up for sale used?

don't know a thing about Caravela, but I will tell you that Rhodium is $1150 an ounce for pure metal. It is widely used in the jewelry industry, virtually all white gold jewelry is plated with rhodium. It is extremely white and extremely wear resistant.

Hardly ever see a Caravela for sale and the ones that I have were all VERY expensive ... I like the look but just can't see paying that kind of money personally.
