The caravela appears to have a twisting fire button similar to a nemesis that tightens the battery to the top contact pin. Can anyone confirm this? I dislike telescoping mods so I'm wanting something like the nemesis.

It is not like the nemesis (on clone version at least). You will have to adjust the pin on the top to keep it flush when you change batteries.
Really? You don't know how it deals with battery rattle, and yet you think you'll get one?... good luck!

I didn't know because no site states it has a telescoping 510 pin. Had I known this thread wouldn't exist.
You might take a look at the Stingray. Top pin floats, tightening the button takes up any slack. Magnetic switch, which for me, is miles better than a modded Nemmy switch.

If you're looking for a High End (or just good) mod, there are other options to the Caravelas... Probably better options as a matter of fact. The Caravela is a beautiful and machined great, but it's design is outdated, not available and hyped, very hyped (read expensive and hard to find).
I would recommend that you look for options from Atmomixani, GP, Mojo, MCR, Crave, Atmizone, Anatolian, MMV, ... there are plenty of good modders available, that make products that you can find at a reasonable price.

I haven't had a problem with different batteries in my Caravela. I really like the single tubes unlike my Nemesis. You have to fiddle with it sometimes to get the battery tight. There is a small washer under the bottom pin which you can take out to give yourself more room. I like it a lot more that my neme mainly because I don't have the same issues with the firing button.
