Not carbon fiber, but I've taken black shrink tubing to CE3s in the past. CE2s and CE3s are pretty much the same, just different coil placement and wick length.

Only real issue becomes seeing how much juice is left. For what I did, I'm thinking about cutting a small slit in the side before putting it on and heating it.

well done! good idea about the window.

Its just a regular ce2 that they have pre-fluffed the wicks and added a cool skin to, right ?

i believe so, but im not sure. i was thinking maybe someone who knows more than me about them would see this thread.

As soon as I remember where I put the tubing, I'll work on it. Figure if I use a razor blade and cut something small, since the tubing comes flat, I can cut through both sides, and have 2 windows. The for the CE3 style, I would probably want it to end right around where the air tube comes up from the base of the tube assembly. That tends to be my refill point for them.
