Morandir was kind enough to give me some tips, but now that I have them, i have just general questions:

1) Smilomizer: What is the best way to care for this? Can you clean it and reuse it? how many times have YOU reused one?

2) tank: can you use the dual coil cart by itself without the tank? how many times can you refill the cart before you have to toss it?

3) wow carts: can you use these successfully with auto DAV? what is the highest voltage you should use with it? i have a lot leftover from last year :)

And what is it with people on the other/main forums? I still don't get what they have against V4L, its the same as it was 2.5 years ago. They take jabs at every chance they get. I go to simply share my success (well hopefully a success story lol ;) )only to be mocked because the product owed to my hopeful future was V4L.is it so bad that there is a company that does well and has avid supporters??is there something im missing?

1) Make sure to keep it topped off so it doesn't get too dry. With my vaping habits I top off once a day, ymmv. Also, don't vape too much at one time, the juice won't have enough time to get near the wick and you could burn a fully filled carto. Yes you can clean them and reuse them just like regular cartos. Many people have recommended giving smileos an alcohol (drinking, NOT rubbing) bath to completely get the flavor out. Use whatever cleaning method works for you. They do take extra time to dry though, and you don't want to vape on a wet carto. Reused as in cleaned and reused or just normal use? I got 2 months out of mine, but I'm a light vaper and made sure to take care not to burn them. I have only cleaned mine once and have yet to reuse the ones I cleaned.

2) I wouldn't recommend using the tank cartos without a tank attached...they have holes in the bottom. With a tank attached I usually get 1-2 months use with everyday, all day use. Again, I'm a light vaper (1-3ml/day), and I use clear juices. I do dry hits randomly to make sure they stay nice and saturated so that they don't burn.

3) Yes. Wow carto highest voltage? I think it's a matter of personal preference. I don't like warm vapor so I always stuck with the cool cartos at 5v. I only used the wow cartos on regular batts, so 4.2 volts. If you have a bunch I'd say experiment and see what works for you.

And about the jabs...you're going to get that everywhere. No matter what you say or what company you talk about there will always be people that have something negative to say. Even in the non-vaping world. Think about it sports, computers/OS, phones, vehicle companies, etc. Don't take it too personally. We are all vapers. We all like different things and some are okay with that...some people are less enlightened. Even if someone has a bad experience with a company, it is certainly acceptable to say your piece and move on. Some people take it a bit too far and take it as a personal crusade to bash that company every time they see the name mentioned.

Hang in there Yellow :) Try not to let it bother you too much.

yellow= Ive always been a "glass half full" type. vape4life is an "anomoly" in the overall world of vaping. (dont know if theyll delete this)
i look through these posts and my thoughts are- FANTASTIC!!,Look at all the support and assistance folks are sending yellow wishing him happiness and success! :)
as you know I DONT use vape4life. I do however use other 'brands" and have been jabbed for them also. I really do like my eGo's with smaller clearo-tanks for the briefcase and work, since they dont look too strange. Someone here (who uses bigger, heavier rbas only) attached "child' label to one of my posts! Presumably because i wasnt the tech head into the RBA trend thats taken over? (who knows). I also do use ProVari_mainly around home and longer trips- However...lets face it: the PV's have fans, fanatics, and naysayers galore! so what are you going to do?
Rise above, we all can laugh at ourselves also, main thing is for you to be happy with your choice, so it works for YOU!
I dont know what type of tobacco you use (another parallel); think about how many brands there are, how many can be "catagorized" for those choices. from the skinny little capri to the Nat Sherman brown paper to the filterless camel...its not all that different in the vape world.
Feel good about your individuality, your choices, your company, and YOUR SUCCESS!
Go Yellow, knock em dead!

Yellow, some people just have to feel like that whatever product they buy.. (Like Harmony said above.. cars ,computers etc) is the best.

I contend that whatever works for that individual is the best product for them. If only one product was what worked for everyone than companies would not make several variations.

To answer you other questions~
I have cleaned one smileo unsuccessfully but no doubt that was my fault. I have successfully cleaned regular carts fine.
Not sure what I did wrong with the smileo but I am sure it was me.

No, I do not think that you can use tank cartos without the tank. They are different than regular carts.

I have only used cool carts on my zues. It uses the liquid faster so I have to be careful to not let it go dry.
I would guess the same thing would apply to Wow carts on a DAV.

I have unsuccessfully tried to clean 3 smilies. I have another one in the wings to try. I just started using
smilies last month and there is a learning curve of which I'm slowly learning.
I don't use tanks but no you can't use the dual coil cart by itself to the best of my knowledge, they are for
tanks only.
I have used (and still do sometimes) WOW carts with DAV. I set it at all voltages and just keep in mind
once you burn it it is toast, but keep it topped off and it will last several days if not a week or more.

Everyone has a right to their opinion on the forum. And no one wants to admit ever that they don't have
the best. There is a lot that can be learned from criticism, unfortunately most just tune out once it starts.
There are plenty of V4L supporters. In the main forum 808's are not very popular. Aside from one or two,
I don't think the responses were THAT bad. The shipping IS higher with V4L than other companies. The
products ARE higher than some of the other products out there (comparing apples to oranges but they don't
see it like that). I split my vape budget between 3 companies - this past couple of months V4L got about
75% of that budget. I do wish you the best with your DAV!

1)How many drops do you use to fill? and how many do you use to top off? And how do you see if its dry? My smileomizer came with a screen over the cart top so i Icant see it?

2) I made a mistake and tried usign the tank carto to see what it was like and try a flavor out...did i mess it up? Do i have to toss it now?
1-2 months!!! wow that is quite amazing!!!

3) I will definitely stick to 4.2 if thats the highest you go since you know more than i do, but ill experiment

re: jabs...its not so much about front running my freind, its more about people being stupid towards the V4L family. its uncalled for, I didnt say and wasnt implying they had inferior products and should get the DAV, i was saying, it is the best AUTO DAV because its the first and only, and I got mocked. Ipster my good friend, how are you? I agree, the support and fantastic group here is all I care about and its wonderful :) Im so happy here and thanks for all the welcome backs!!! :D Ipster, please understand, im not trying to convert anyone here, i just wanted those who use auto vapes that this is best AUTO DAV because its the first and only one of its kind, thats all, i was trying to just SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE AUTO DAV!!! LOL!!! :) I am very happy about my choice and succes, and its been 2 days without cigarettes guys!!
thanks ipster

Thanks Amraan. again, it wasnt about converting or putting inferior products down, because this is simply the best AUTO DAV because its the first and only auto DAV and it has a great batt life and also a sealed batt so i just wanted to help and SPREAD THE WORD TO ANYONE WHO DOESNT KNOW ABOUT THE V4L AUTO DAV!! LOL

sorry im being silly, i was up all night and didnt sleep because im going through w/d without my cigs, but the DAV got me through the night, as LEnon/beatles said, "whatever gets yuo through the night, its alright, its alright" :)

thanks for tips

Yeah V4L was always 80%+ of my vape budget, now they are 100%!!! Ill try to top off correctly.

Please let me know about topping off with the smileomizer because as I mentioned there is a screen on top of the fiber/fabric inside the cartomizer and i cant see if its dry or not

Please let me know about the smile, thanks!!!!

HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAVING A WONDERFUL DAY BECAUSE I AM LIVING SMOKE FREE!!!! YAY :D

Thanks!!!

1)How many drops do you use to fill? and how many do you use to top off? And how do you see if its dry? My smileomizer came with a screen over the cart top so i Icant see it?

I don't generally count drops. I use a syringe for the initial fill and then for top offs I drip a few drops, let it soak in and repeat until it starts soaking in slower and eventually gets into the air tube. Then I squeeze some air out of the bottle, put the polyfill against the tip of the bottle and release my grip so that the excess juice sucks back into the bottle. That doesn't help you much because you have a screen. You can take the screen off if you want. Or if you want to leave it there you can vape off the excess (if there's not too much) or blow it into a paper towel. I know many people that say to look at the polyfill and top off if it looks dry, but I've never done that. It would mean topping off too often and I'm lazy. Like I said, with my vaping habits I've found that topping off once a day is perfect for me. Vaping, imo, is all about trial and error. Try it one way, if it doesn't work adjust as needed.

2) I made a mistake and tried usign the tank carto to see what it was like and try a flavor out...did i mess it up? Do i have to toss it now?
1-2 months!!! wow that is quite amazing!!!

I don't think you messed it up unless it is tasting burnt now. And you can use it without a tank if you want. I just personally wouldn't recommend it. I love the tanks so I wouldn't use the cartos without them. And with the holes at the bottom it just doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Don't toss it.
Just keep in mind that ymmv, there are juices that I have that are unusable in tanks because they are carto killers and because the tanks use cartos it is way too much trouble. The 1-2 months is with care to not burn and with clear juices that work well in cartos. By no means is that a standard or promise of what you will get.

3) I will definitely stick to 4.2 if thats the highest you go since you know more than i do, but ill experiment

I'm glad you said you will experiment. I only told you what I did and I wouldn't say I know more than you. Sure I've been doing this a long time, but I don't experiment much. I find what I like and stick with it. I also don't take notes. You should wait for advice from other, much more knowledgeable people on any maximum voltage warnings. I'm pretty sure there are people out there that like 2ohms at 4.8v, I'm just not one of them.

re: jabs...its not so much about front running my freind, its more about people being stupid towards the V4L family. its uncalled for, I didnt say and wasnt implying they had inferior products and should get the DAV, i was saying, it is the best AUTO DAV because its the first and only, and I got mocked. thanks for the great reply :)

Yeah, people are like that. I stopped going to a few of the sub-forums because of the intense hatred towards cig-alikes and 808 threading. And the naysayers may have had something to do with the reason I stuck with them for so long. I'm rebellious like that ;) Not saying I was miserable or anything. I just hate it when people tell me what I should do and what I should do it with. I will stick with what I like until I no longer like it and then I will move on. I am a creature of habit and avoid change if at all possible. I'm glad you were confident enough to post your thoughts. There are trolls and l33ts out there, I'm glad you aren't letting it get to you.

Speaking of experimenting and errors, I have been making quite mess with the Tank. I guess theres a learning curve :( Spilled a whole tankful.....darn it.

I didnt burn the cart Harmony, its totally fine, I know about burning carts so I was careful of course :)

I didnt get any in the air hole, but its sealed so its ok even if i dropped some right? I HOPE!!! lol :)

and sorry to say, for my wife and the ease of use and univerality of the carts and batts: the 808 is the best, 2 piece system!!! to all the naysayers na-na-na-na-na-nah!! LOL :)

Thanks Harmony, your great :)

Doesn't matter is you are new or have been at it a while..we all spill juice. I know it is rather frustrating beccuase I have been thinking hmm 3 ml that's like a 1/2 pk smokes gone. If you can pick up some juice in the classified's or FB you could try stuff out and get great prices too.

There is definitely a learning curve to the tanks. Luckily there are some great YouTube videos out there. I'm a visual learner, so they were awesome!

Yes, the DAV is sealed so there's less of a chance to kill the batt if you get juice in there. As long as it's not dripping out of the carto and you don't mind the gurgling and reduced vapor I just vape off the excess. If it's dripping out I'd recommend blowing out the excess so you don't risk anything.

I'm happy I could help :)

ETA: Well, I put a video in there but I don't see it showing up. Maybe this will work...

Filling and topping off of the Smilies is just a practice and learning thing. The vids are a great
start. Everyone's 'drops' are different. Myself, I use 'squirts', which is the equivalent of about
ten drops. There are some very good videos on You Tube from V4L about filling tanks, watch them.
Then it's practice.
I went through 9 smilies in August. That was when I started and that's a high number. This month I
have 2 going for the entire month so far. One a week is acceptable to me unless the price goes down on
them. The darker the juice, the faster they'll clog. Plus everyone's different in what is acceptable with
the smilies...I don't like a tight draw at all.

As far as the hate of the 808's.........personally I just go in the forums and plow in them with a smile on
my face. If they don't like the fact I'm vaping on 808's, that's their problem, right? For months I used
cigalikes with pre-filled carts and said so. I don't avoid anyone or anything just cuz they think we should
be getting the latest and the greatest. I'm also not into tinkering, rebuilding, replacing stuff, etc. so I
want something easy and that is well built and will last.

thanks. do you keep topping off, to the point where you never have to fully refill?

when do you clean it? like the only time i could imagine cleaning it is if you want to put a different juice flavor in.

thanks :)

Yeah I keep topping off to the point of not letting it get dry dry dry - cuz you'll burn it if you let it get too dry and try
to vape. I don't know if you're using the larger smilies or the smaller ones, but I like the small ones and top off every couple
of hours. I clean when it no longer is performing well - tight draw, etc. If I want to change juices I just find one that will
blend in well with what's left of the juice already in there and just add. But again I've had no luck cleaning them and
reusing. YET. Not giving up.

You know, I dont know whats happening with my tank, but i didnt use it all that much and the juice just disappeared, do you know why possibly this happened?

I would venture to guess evaporation. Unless your detecting a leak somewhere? Or maybe the carto absorbed some of it through the holes on the sides of the carto? (totally wild guess on that one)
