Carto and Juice Question

One of my favorite flavors is a light amber color. I've noticed that after filling the tank a few times The juice from overfill (usually just a few drops) is a dark brown. The taste starts to get a little off too. This means a new carto daily for my vaping habit. (In process of cleaning a few now to see if they clean up ok)

My other juice is a clear color and has been going strong on the same carto for about 2 weeks now. Also in a tank.

I even tried vaping the amber juice at a lower voltage, thought perhaps I was burning the juice. No change though.

Is this pretty normal for juices that aren't clear?

It is a fruit flavor, where the clear is a tobacco flavor. Just wondering what the cause is.

I too have had some juices that turn dark on me, they have typically been fruit types that are sweet so maybe that has an effect. It seems they get dark in the tank as it gets low, so I was thinking that maybe they are getting hotter at that point and the temperature has an effect, but I am not sure. I do notice that my clearer juices don't do it at all though.
