Well I asked because I watched the video that was posted but didn't really understand what he was doing with it. I guess because I have never used the tank I didn't fully understand it. I am going to a B&M Friday and didn't want to look dumb asking for it if it was just their thing. Thanks for the info.
Once you use the tool you will be able to more clearly see how invaluable it is to cartotanking. This tool has been copied by many manufacturers, and the shape re-designed, but to me the Slap-Yo-Momma is worth the extra couple of dollars because of the best design.
The Slap-Yo-Momma tank tool does the following:
Protects o-rings. You may not be aware, but the inner part of your tank's end caps have little rubber band things which allow the tank to hug the cartomizer and prevent the leaking of juice between those two surfaces. The end of the cartomizer is somewhat sharp, and when inserting the carto into the tank these o-rings can be damaged, leading to your tank leaking juice onto your valued vaping device. The tank tool closes up the opening of the carto end, effectively covering the sharp edge of the carto and thereby preventing any damage to the o-ring.
Prevents juice getting into the cartomizer's center air hole while filling/refilling your tank which could lead to flooding. Self-explanatory.
Tapered shape helps guide the carto easily into the tank's end cap holes after filling the tank with juice. Self-explanatory.
Is one of these tools a must have for cartotanks? No, but once you have and use it you will be amazed how convenient having one is. It really shaves filling and refilling times down by half. I will never be without one.
