I just got my P16, some clearOmizers, and a few 306's. I usually vape my Super 6 at 6 volts, dripping into a high volt 801 atomizer. I used the 306 a few times, very nice, but I'll concentrate on the clearOmizer here. I see an advantage, or two, with the P16/clearomizer, as compared to the Super 6/801 combo, which I will list for your interest...

1) Vapor production...both excellent and I feel equal, if not, the edge goes to the P16. I have never had a 3.7 volt device really come close to the Super 6 before.
2) Flavor....better on P16/clearOmizer. Although at 6 volts, dripping in a hi-resistance atomizer, even an 801..I would get a slightly burnt taste fairly frequently.
3) Consistency...definitely the P16 is a winner. Solid hits every time!
4) Size....I like a smaller device. The P16 is small, but is extremely solid.
5) I feel much safer with a single, protected battery.
6) Convienience....the clearOmizer is a clear winner (pun intended). I vaped the entire superbowl on the shorter version, no problem.

So, that is my short review. As for minor disadvantages....none for the P16; the clearOmizer looks a little funny, but tops off nicely (for looks) with a stainless dip tip. Filling is a bit of a pain at first, but after a few runs, it is pretty quick.

In general, I feel that vaping has improved several notches for me. I am very satisfied. Thanks David! I see a locking botton and a stainless whistle tip in my near future.

It's impressive that you say it produces more flavor/vapor than dripping an 801.

Which resistance level clearomizer is working for you? And what resistance level HV 801 are you comparing it to?

The clearOmizers are 2.4 - 2.6 ohm, the 801 is 3.5 ohms. I was a bit worried about going back to a 3.7 volt device, and I made the decision to give it a try based on what people were saying on the forum. I'm glad I did. This combo is a totally new 3.7 volt experience. It's kind of to the point that I was wishing that vaping would evolve to.

Must admit I'm a bit of a clearomizer fan too, they look great on the P16 :)

I've never dripped an 801 but these things can certainly pump out clouds, this is what I was using this morning, a P16 with a 2.6-2.8ohm clearo and PG juice

And the b'stard ruined my new passport photo

I'm going to modify my impressions a bit. As I did with regular cartos, I tend to get overly enthusiastic with my initial impressions. After using the clearomizers for a few days, I've noticed a drop off in vapor production and flavor. Granted, that is after several refills. I'm sure that a new clearomizer, freshly filled, will be great again. I just have a hard time pitching a carto, or atomizer, that still works. Having said that, they are cheap and meant to be disposable. I may just have to adjust my attitude about using a "fresh" clearomizer sooner, before the old one completely dies. I have been dripping into a LR 306 the last day or so. Very impressive! Now, I just need a Stainless Super-T drip tip to go with it....then I'll shut up.

The clearomizers do have a nice clean flavor, but I find it too mellow and the throat hit is lacking in my opinion. But I admit that I do prefer nice bold flavors. I prefer the Boge 2.0 cartos on my P16. Flavor is almost as clean, and you get more of it and good throat hit too. Vapor production is pretty good as well. Maybe I lower ohm clearomizer would work better for me, but I hear they have wicking issues at the lower ohms.

Here's a pic of the vapor cloud a Boge 2.0 puts out on my P16. Vaping Juicy Peach from DIY Flavor Shack.

Ive made a quick progression through a bunch of these products. I started with reg 510 attys which aren't enough at 3.7v for me. Tried the reg 510 caros and found the vapor to be lacking at 3.7v. So I then stepped up to a silver bullet at 6v. At 6v the regular ohm 510 cartos/attys work great but they needed refilling quite often. I then tried the MAP tanks which work great both at 3.7 and 6v (I had two with appropriate ohm ratings for the voltage). The map tanks work well and the vapor has some of the best flavor but I found them to be a little high maintenance. They need refilling with syringes, they don't allow you to switch flavors often, they occasionally leak when freshly topped off (from over wicking, then dripping down through the battery connection end), and finally they tend to make a gurgling noise almost always. Then I tried LR 510 attys which I like but I find I have to drip much more often than I'd like. I'm currently using 2.0 ohm 510 cartos at 3.7 volts and this seems to be the best so far. I use them like a drip tip/atty setup except I just drip about 10 drops when the vapor starts to taper off. Now after deciding I prefer 3.7v at low resistance Ive got a p16 and vapemate ordered. The vapemate should solve my problems with frequent dripping. Plus it can be removed when I get out of the car. I find the maptank looks pretty ridiculous and the clearomizers equally strange to people that don't know what they are. I would imaging people thinking "that guys sucking on a tank full of liquid attached to a metal tube and smoke is coming out" and it makes it hard to enjoy my vape. So the plan is a covertly sized p16 with cartos and a vapemate. Top off the carto with the vapemate, take it off and I'm good to vape in public. That's the plan at least. Wow, sorry for the long winded reply

I think thats one of the things i like most about the VapeMate Design, you can pop it off and be back to normal in just a second or two...
