So i conducted an experiment today, the battery life on my 650's is getting shorter and shorter, ive had the two for about 2 months. When a Carto is installed its like i get 4 hits off it and the battery light dies and it starts blinking indicating its dead. If i immediately pull the carto off of it the battery and light are strong as ever....what the heck?

As a guess you are pulling the carto off and the battery is showing fine 'off load'. As soon as there is a resistance the battery is 'on load' and is pulling the battery voltage below the protection cutoff.

You can try this as a last resort if no other solution is proposed. Take the discharged battery and seal it up completely (ziplock bag, cellophane wrap, etc.) and stick it into your freezer for 48 hrs. Take it out and let it return to room temperature (very important) and then charge it completely. This should give your battery a short term lease of life, but won't fix it.

What sort of cartos are you using? As mentioned above, if it pulls too many amps it may be triggering a protection circuit in the batts? I use DCCs down to 1.5 ohms without issue (other than the batt not lasting very long, of course...but nothing like you describe)...but it's possible that 1) you have a particularly aggressive run of batts, protectionwise, or 2) you have some cartos that for whatever reason pull too much power. Have you checked the resistance on the cartos (since it sounds like you have a multimeter)? We must solve this perplexing mystery!

I won't use anything below 2 ohms on a eGo style battery. Anything lower draw too much current and possibly overheat the electronic (the MOSFET specifically) in your device which would essentially kill your device. Some people uses their DCCs and get away with it, some get very unhappy with the results.
