So I was studying for an exam, vaping away on my eGo 650 mah using a 1.5 ohm cartomizer. And enjoying the carto's excellent performance, when suddenly:
The delicious taste of BWB's Virginia mixed with FSUSA's Wyatt Earp quickly turned to gross smoke taste. Immediately, my battery died.
Given the strange sequence of events, I was terrified my battery actually died. What could make a carto go to gross burning and also leave the battery empty in the span of 3 seconds other than a battery malfunction? (also of note: I'm not positive, but I didn't think the battery had been used long enough to need recharging)
Anyways, to test if the battery was really dead or just needed recharging, I plugged it into the charger (standard, not PT) and waited for the light to blink, as it always does. It didn't. For a long, long time it didn't (at least 20 min). After about 10 minutes on the charger I pulled it off and tested the button to see if the button would light up (thus signaling a functioning battery). It did and I rejoiced. However I put it back on the charger and for a while it didn't blink. I was preoccupied with studying so I don't know how long it took until the charger blinked, but eventually it did. So I rejoiced.
So here's my question:
What happened?
Did the battery short out the cartomizer causing it to burnout, or did the cartomizer cause a surge? Is my battery okay?
It appears to be functioning normally.
