Okay I wasn't fan of cartos until I recently tried them @5V. I tossed several of them, but had a few soft tip ones left once I got into 5V and realized I liked them. I just received some today in the mail, and they are hard tip. Not a big deal as I got two 5 packs for $12.

So the questions I have are, I`ve seen where you can remove the caps.
1. can I do it without getting the filler wet?
2. can I put a used soft tip back on them?

I prefer injecting them with a syringe, so I`d like to put a soft tip on them.

They should pry right off,and yes the soft rubber tips do fit on them.

Thanks I searched and found posts about putting them in near boiling water to remove them, sounds like that isn't necessary?

Some of the hard caps are glued in. If that's the case wait til your ready to refill them before removing the caps. When I've done it I've always gotten the filling wet and had to go ahead and clean and dry them. You may be less clumsy than I am. The soft caps do fit nicely though.

The ones that are glued in are a royal you know what to get off. But, if you've got soft caps to go back on and don't care about the hard cap, I say DESTROY IT! Then, just scrape the glue out that's on the inside of the carto. The soft cap should fit fine.
