I love the sound of a freshly filled new carto. That snap, crackle, pop is music to my ears.

Yep, all cartos will have those air channels. You gotta get the air in there from somewhere so you are in good shape.

You will enjoy your cartos even more with a drip tip. It is called a drip tip but for those that don't drip it is actually just a nice mouth piece.

I've never heard of doing that - what is the purpose of that? Also, could that be the cause of the strange noises? Sorry for the dumb questions - I'm still new to cartos!

The only porpose it serves if you use a DT is one more thing to dig out before you fill it each time.

Throw the rubber cap away unless you can find a inventive use for it other than to drop and go bouncing accost the room only to find your Chiwawaa hacking it up a couple days later;-)

You will learn to enjoy that hissing crackling noise it means all is well in your carto tank world.

I'm assuming yr referring to the long caps that cover both ends when it's in the box. I meant the cap that goes on top after you fill the carto that has a hole in it for inhaling through. If that wasn't there I'd get filling and juice in my mouth.

The atty that came with the joye 510t doesn't have channels. Blu cartos don't either. It's a solid contact surface on the batt in those, and there's no hiss with them.

True but they both are lower end preforming you need air to get good performance thats why you get hissing.

I think 99% of the vaping world uses Drip tips so that little piece of rubber is not needed buy most, but if you dont use a drip tip then ya it serves a propose.

Actually, the hissing sound is the sound of your juice vaporizing.
The "air holes" are just that. Holes to let air flow over the wire when you draw through it.
The hissing also happens more often with batteries that use pulse-modulation to regulate the voltage/wattage.

Basically, if you don't get at least a small hissing noise, you are one step away from flooding your coil and that reduces the amount of vapor.

Will edit this in a couple seconds/min when I find a good video that could help explain pulse-modulation... :)

Edit- that was quick

I can agree with your first part of your post but a carto will hiss in a mech mod as well. Its as you said its the wonderful sound of vapor we all know and love:)

Yes it does. Just MORE OFTEN with pulse. :) my straight voltage ego does not hiss at all, but I have an ego twist and a spinner that do. One is pulse and the other, I think uses an internal resistor... Could be wrong about that though. My meter will read one and just flashes on the other.
