I love my IBTanks! But I didn't like the flange thingy on the Cartos that I purchased with them. They did almost whistle, crackle, snap and popped on me. Too loud So I changed to Boge Cartos with no flange and it still snap crackles and pops but much quieter now. Now my tanks are perfect for me. I just have to make sure when filling to not push the carto in too much or liquid spills out the bottom since there is no lip to stop the carto from pushing in too far on the tank.

I really want to stick with flanged - that way I am sure I can't push the carto through by mistake:blush:

Heh heh heh... I placed an order for non flanged, Boge prepunched cartos a couple days ago, specifically for the gap. Also bought a beauty ring that may work. And some other drip tips. And a ton of juice from Ahlusion because I heard they're good and there's a sale....

I'm afraid of that myself, but I'm only afraid for it when I initially install the carto into the tank. Once it's on, I figure a beauty ring will keep the tank from sliding down, and if they aren't on a device I store them in the "thingy" they come with.

Here's what I've found (though I'm pretty new to carto-tanks myself.
With an IBTanked, the fit to the carto is so tight, that you're unlikely to pull the carto out even with no flange. I mean, unless you pick up your mod by the tank - and swing it around for a while...
But some other tanks are a little looser...
I don't like the gap, so if I CAN I'll have either no-flange, or a ring covering things in most of my setups.
