I've got a Resurrector carto on my eGo Twist battery, and it's been running really hot. I can't figure out why.

It's a 1.7 ohm carto and I'm running the battery at 3.5 volts. I know the carto is filled, so it's not running dry. I pulled it out of the package and filled it two days ago, so it's not old or overused.

Yet, whenever I try to vape it, the side walls of the carto get pretty darn hot, about the temperature of a mug would feel if you filled it with hot tea and wrapped your hands around it.

Is this within normal running parameters? If not, is it error on my part, or did I just get a dud?

Thanks!

most low resistance accessories get hot fast, you can always just turn it down (or stop chain vaping)
as long as it doesnt seem or taste like its burning theres not much you can do

3.5v @ 1.7 ohms = 2 amps, which is a lot of power inside a tiny aluminum tube. and usually as the coil gets hot it drops resistance just a touch more. meaning even more power.

B...bu...but.... NO!

I was a chain smoker.... yes, I do chain vape. It doesn't happen with my dual coils, doesn't happen with my tankomizer, doesn't happen with the tank...

I do have two Twists... maybe when I know I'm going to be hitting hard I should set up the both of them and just alternate.

since your on twists you can always see how low you can nudge the voltage before the vapor drops off.\

the resi name was conned by a website, but the idea behind the low resistance resi cartos was basically to give new life to the old style single voltage ego's that seemed to be loosing their kick.

doesn't happen with my tankomizer, doesn't happen with the tank

but but have you tried a carto tank yet? :D
