I put about 10 drops in...shake it a little then repeat...got about 30 drops in it....would condom method help me since this is my first time with cartos?? I have a raven carto from got vapes lasting almost a week on my vamo. Love the taste but not at 2 cartos a day.

make sure you are priming the cartos correctly, and give them time to wick. or a higher resistance carto might do the trick. thicker dark juices seem to clog up the works faster, and high VG content has wicking issues.noticed that with my 36 mg juice. at 16 MG nic i get good vapor but i have to concentrate on my technique to get the throat hit, and vapor production. i use 5 mg bottles of juice. in a tank set-up, so if a carto lasts me a whole tank, i am happy and feel i got my moneys worth. i also change cartos at every flavor change. already have more on order. also am using a atomizer tank set-up. atty's are pretty cheap, and i find them less reliable, but i do seem to get more vapor production, and cleaner taste with some flavors. . you may also have gotten a batch of Chinese knockoffs. lots of issues with those. no offense to our non smoking Chinese friends on here. when it comes to cartos and atty's, be prepared to spend on replacements to feed the vaping monkey

I'm thinking there could be another bad batch of Boges on the market. I've been seeing more stories just recently of poorly wicking cartos here in the last couple of weeks, all using Boges. Sounds like the filler being used is not absorbing the liquid adequately, no matter the number of holes used. An extreme example in this thread:

Not sure what the solution can be, as Boge is the only manufacturer of the standard size carts that I know of other than Ikenvape, and they are usually out of stock. Just try getting others from another vendor. One of the benefits of getting an XL length tank is more options in carto brands.

Not sure it will help, but I'll give you my method of pre-filling a carto and setting up a cartotank: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3710-5-cartomizer-tank-setup.html

Also, a large list of vendors that sell pre-punched cartos: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...nched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

Been having the same problems. Sometimes I'll have a really good carto that works well for a week or more. And other times it's just crappy right out of the box. Sometimes it works great for a day or two and something happens to it. I'm getting pretty sick of the inconsistency. I've experienced these problems with both boge and smoktech cartos. Trying to get my hands on some Ikenvapes, but as you already know, you'd probably have a better chance of finding $20 laying in the street.

I've found that if I get a carto working really well in a tank, it'll work really well for one tank worth of juice, but as soon as I refill it, I start to get dry hits. I've found that it's better to not completely fill the tank. Leave an air gap at the top. For some reason my tank refuses to feed the carto when there is no air space in the tank.

:thumb: Most definitely. Only fill 80% full. For proper pressure inside the tank, there needs to be some air within.

I filled it all the way up.....thanks guys next round ill put less in!! Hope this works

I use Boge xl st pre punched, 2 holes. I fill with a syringe and put about 1.5ml of juice. My rule of thumb is if I get juice starting to come out the drilled holes then I have it saturated. I also start pulling up the needle to get the entire length of the carto filled. I blow any excess out and load into a tank, fill and vape immediately. Have never had a burnt one in 6 months with this method. The packing is very tight and takes forever to drip fill and I found that even when I thought I had it full, it was not. And with the condom method it seemed the juice would just go up the center hole and not satuate the filling.

Thanks bad....on the second one I filled it did seem like the juice was just sitting on the top and needed a lot of hard shakes to get it to go down. Bad batch???

Some people are poking needles down in their Boges to loosen up the filler. And use that Taryn spin thing, or shake.

I think the Smoketech cartos are less densely packed.

Should be getting Dry Hits before you're getting the Burnt ones. Stop quickly at that point.

Mt. Baker posts have been all over lately. Are they selling Syrup over there that doesn't flow well??

I'm a total newb, granted, but my first batch of boge cartos worked as expected. Unfortunately, I didn't care for the flavors of dekane or joy liquid. This second order from different vendor has been hit and miss ( mostly miss). So bad, in fact, that I get a burnt taste on the second or third draw.

    Condom method (25-30 drops)
    Mostly pg
Ego twist at less than 3.6v

I'm starting to wonder if the ego is damaged; leakage into the battery connection maybe. I guess its time to pull out the multimeter.

I hope not. I just bought the 5 pack boge special from survapes last night and planning on punching my very first carto.
