Carto melted

Last night my carto literally burned a hole in the side, about a 1/4" above the threading. It was under really heavy use and these ones seem to get hotter than every other atty/carto I've used. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

I have used the Joye 510 cartos but never had a burn through. I'm pretty sure it must have been a faulty unit, but for the life of me I can't work out what would have caused it. True, I'm not the most technically gifted but as afaik the atomizer is in the bottom section of the carto. Maybe it was installed off centre? I'll leave this to the better informed to answer, hopefully. Just thought I'd give this a long winded bump for you.

Those are Joye 510 cartos, and they're plastic. The atomizer gets hots inside. The atomizer burns the plastic.

I use the Boge 510 and KR808D-1 cartos that are metal and haven't had this problem.

Have you tried contacting David or Pam? They are the owners at FSUSA and let them know what happened. I'm sure they can help you out, they do have awesome customer service. I haven't bought any from there before only their juice. But try contacting them

Oh I'm not worried about replacing one carto(they were free from the 60ml sale anyways.) I am kind of sad with the ~1ml of Wyatt Earp that was wasted because of this. I'm mostly just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, and if i should worry about it happening again.

The carto was clearly defective. I've used them and I never had a hole burned in the sleeve. I had all kinds of other annoying issues with them, including leaking and a couple of duds that just died after a few puffs, but nothing like what you described. I would contact the vendor, if only to let them know. This should not be happening, obviously.

You stated that you were using it heavily. My suggestion is to change brands or let it cool down between vapes. Over hitting it can also cause it to pop and die. Boge is a great brand but you still need to let it cool some between vapes. Also, if you notice flavor loss, immediately stop and refill it. You don't want to burn the filler inside. Makes for some nasty tasting juice and will also ruin the cart.
