I recently purchased a Joye 510 starter kit. Currently i'm using the carts that came with the Joye 510 kit. I find it alittle annoying having to refill the carts alot of times. Also i get alittle messy every now and then having ejuice on my hands and e cig while refiling my carts. I was wondering is it alot more convinence to use a carto instead? Can you vape longer w/ carto comparing to carts? Would it cost me alot more using carto then carts? Roughly about how many packs (5 cartos) would i need per month? I heard they can be refill and can use then for about (more or less) 2 - 3 refills. Also what is the difference between using a carto and cart? Will i get a better throat hit, better vaping experience, etc?

Thank you all :D :)

I personally prefer the cartos. (I don't know if a low resistance tank mod would work because of the Joye 510 battery rather than an eGo/Riva.) To me, I'm not filling the cartos as often and the less often the bottles are open, the less mess I make. *klutz here*. I don't know that I would say that you'd get a better throat hit though. Depending on the juice, the taste might be "muffled". With some juices, that's not a bad thing.

You should definitely give cartos a try. They're cheaper than atomizers because they're meant to be disposable, but that doesn't mean they don't last a while. You can refill cartos several times if you take care of them. They can be cleaned. The methods are different from cleaning an atty and there are many different ways that people do it. You have to be careful with cartos so they don't burn. As soon as the flavor changes or even has the slightest burnt taste I top them off. How long you can vape a carto is going to depend on the size of the carto and how you vape, but I find that they generally last a bit longer than the carts.

I switched to using cartos exclusively when I'm away from home. I think they're much more convenient than carts because they're easier and quicker to change. The rest of the time I drip.

Hopefully someone can answer your questions rather. And BTW I don't think it's recommended to use LR (low resistance) cartos or attys on a standard 510. You probably need something with ohms from the high 2's to the mid 3's?

I think normal cartos hold from 1-1.5 ml liquid. The 510 cart holds .6ml and I don't know if the 510 is good at emptying it. You probably also don't want to burn a carto dry because you could singe the stuffing (if it has stuffing) or stress the atty and you probably want to refill them as many times as possible before the stuffing singes or atty dies.

I have no idea how many you would use per day or per week.

Thank you all for your information. Just wondering as i was browsing the website for cartos, it says joye 510 cartomizer , doesn't say LR or show any ohms on the item description. So does that mean i can use them on my Joye 510?

Read carefully. If they are low resistance, they should have LR on the description. If it doesn't show that, or the ohms on the description, then they'll be regular Joye 510 cartomizers.

Thanks it doesn't say LR so i guess they are the standard ones.
Sorry i have another question regarding passthru. I saw a Joye 510 passthru for about $13 - $15, and a Joye ego passthru (says can use for 510 cartos) for around $22 -24 dollars. For about $10 dollars more, would you recommend buying the ego instead? The ego one says it's a passthru and battery, can unhook from the usb port and walk around w/ it. The 510 one is just a passthru. Also would it be recommend to upgrade the ego passthru to 1000 mAh for $4.00 more? As for the battery life itself, will the passthru or battery with passthru last longer? I mean before the battery get fry and i need to replace it. I'm going to use the passthru on my computer desk most of the time, won't be walking around as much. Also one more question, how can i tell wat kinda of battery ohm it is? I'm looking at the item description and i can't find anywhere that tells u about the ohm on the battery.

Sorry for all these questions and ty for reading :D

Depends on what you want to do. The PT with no battery gives you about 4.9V right at the atty. You'll need a two amp usb to drive it. I have one because I'm at my computer a lot and I use it to save my batteries. I also have a two amp usb for the car and I can use it there also. The ego one allows you to unplug and go, as it says, but delivers normal voltage. The higher voltage isn't important to me but it does give you a chance to check out 5V vaping at a reasonable price. When I'm using it, I just hit the button for about a second on a four second pull. That heats the vapor plenty for me, but if you like hotter vapor, the 5V PT will certainly deliver. Another carto you might check out is the E2s at 2.8 ~ 3.0 ohm. The wick in them is made of silica and does not burn. Hope this helps. Later, JD. :vapor:
