Carto poly fill turned black

I have a SR carto in my tank right now and I was using different juice than I usually do (normally my DIY root beer is in my tank, decided to try V4L chocolate in there this time). After a few hours, the draw got really hard and then nothing...checked the carto and the poly fill was almost black. what the heck did I do?

Thick, gooey, high VG juice will do that sometimes, especially if it has sweeteners. You should be able to blow it out and clear the vent holes.

Check if the poly fill got burned. If it's ok, then just clean it and the atty too.

I get that burnt filler too when I vape really sweet liquids. I think the when sugars caramelize it can burn filler as well. I just rinse out the cartomizer with water, let it dry and fill it again.
