sooo i have not been vaping for an extraordinary amount of time...and the only thing i've really ever used has been attys to drip in. i've tried clearomizers and dislike them with a passion. i think dripping is much more flavorful. buut i was looking into cartomizer tanks, and was wondering what anyone could tell me about them and how exactly they work? like personal experiences and such? i'm quite interested, and am wondering how good they would work with a variable voltage mod?

Might not be a bad idea to start with plain cartomizers and get a feel for them before going to the tanks. Either way, with a vv mod you want to make sure you get standard resistance cartos or higher.

Since you are a fan of dripping, you might like the Smoktech super shorty cartos. They are almost like a carto / atomizer hybrid.

Thanks for posting the links, Ocelot. On the advise of moderator Judge Dredd, I've asked the administrator of ECF permission to have at least some of my blog posts sticky'ed in the appropriate sub-sections so that there is easy access for everyone. If anyone agrees to have this done, PM Old Soldier of your request.

I generally recommend spending in the $20 - 25 range to insure getting a quality tank. Cheaper tanks can have numerous quality control issues ranging from poorly fitting parts to poor fitting o-rings.

The polypropylene-tubed DCT Pro tanks from My Vapor Store is a kit that provides a choice in colored tube, metal endcaps, a drip tip, and choice of 5 cartomizers. $21.35

IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us! IBTanked generally has a complete kit package for $25, but they are currently out of cartomizers for some tank sizes. You can still purchase the tube and endcaps separately. You can order drip tips and a tank tool (accessories) on site, too. $5 for the pyrex tube and $17.50 for the stainless steel caps.

I did a thorough review of the IBTanks here:

I made a massive list of vendors that sell pre-punched cartomizers here:
