Carto tank trouble

I am having bad problems with my setup. smok 3 ohm carto w j tank. I slotted one side like this

It still floods with bobas bounty. This is the second carto I've used in 2 days. I slotted both sides last time and had the same problem. It's making me want to just get a dripping atty and be done with it.

Any ideas? I don't believe I cut into the air channel.

does anybody know how to change the seals on a j tank??

Have you tried pre-slotted cartos?

Perhaps you are cutting too deep into the carto.
Or more likely is that the oring seals on your tank are not sealing properly, possibly they were damaged when you slid your home cut carto into the tank. Another reason to get pre cut cartos. The slots are smoother.
