Carto tank will not sit straight on ProVari

Hey guys,

Like the title says... I have a 22mm xl tank with standard resistance xl boge cartos and I have problems with the tank sitting straight on top of my Provari.

If I tighten it down fairly tight it will stay put for a while but always seems to be crooked the next time I look at it.

Is this a normal problem or should I contact Provape and see what they have to say about it?

Thanks in advance.

Do the cartomizers sit straight up and down without a tank? My boge cartos tend to wiggle a little bit on my ProVari. If the cartos sit straight up and down and do not wiggle, then you may have an end cap on your tank that wasn't milled correctly, i.e. the carto hole in the end cap is off center by a miniscule measurement. If that's the case I would imagine with a pic or two you could probably receive a replacement end cap, especially from some of the more reputable carto tank manufacturers like IBTanked or Phiniac

It's pretty slight looking in the pic... I guess it sort of wiggles around

So we're talking ever so slight... Do all of the atomizers / cartos (again, cartos without tanks) seem to wiggle a little?

Do you have anything like maybe a protank for a nice RBA / RDA you can put on top to check for it being crooked?

Most of the boge cartos and dripping atomizers like you have pictured wiggle a little on my ProVari. Not as bad as they did on my Vamo/Lavatube, but they do still wiggle a bit. Or sit a bit crooked.

You can open a ticket with ProVape, they will certainly help you out in narrowing down the issue.

Because the top cap of the ProVari is a solid piece of stainless steel with the 510 connector milled in, it could just be that the top cap isn't seated all the way down...

This will sound insane, but if you grab a piece of scrap wood and a mallet, put the wood on top of the ProVari, set the base of the ProVari on a hard surface, and smack it a few times with a mallet... That would seat it, and no, it won't hurt anything... :) Actually I would put the battery cap on (standard, not extension), and put the top cap down and beat the battery cap to firmly seat the top cap...

You don't have to hit it hard... Just a few firm taps...

You should be able to visually see if the top cap is fully seated into the tube though... Does the seam between the top cap and the tube look uneven at all? Hard to tell from pictures...

Don't take my crazy suggestions if you're not comfortable seating press fit items... Just open a ticket with ProVape... LoL, I am pretty fearless with this kind of stuff... Every ProVari I have owned has been pulled apart and put back together again for no good reason
