Hi.

Recently went from using clearomizers as i found i got very little taste from them and also very little heat in the vapor they produced, ive been through loads to find a good one. iclear30b, protanks, evods etc etc..

anyone know of any which will suit my needs?

currently im using a kamry x8 carto tank with a Boge LR carto. which i LOVE but just want to find a clearo with equal performance!

or

an even better carto to use in my tank! im currently using a cool fire 2 and retired all of my egos and mods!

Cheers!

For me nothing worked as good as a boge LR carto in a tank until I got into rebuildables. A protank wicked with cotton and a microcoil maybe a slightly better vape, but oh the flooding (mostly my fault). I haven't put down my kayfun's since I got them, so my carto tanks are starting to get a little lonely. I don't really like anything wicked with silica tho, It just seems to be a poor wicking material. Both cotton and the pollyfill in carto's just seem to keep the coils wet longer than silica. That leaves me without a single clearomizer that I like except for an evod with cotton wicks, since they were harder for me to flood. I would suggest some nice carto tanks, and maybe try some ikenvape or smoktech carto's.

I have yet to encounter a clearo that gives me the taste that carto tanks do. I use Boge cartos in tanks from IBTanked. I also have the Pyrex Boge carto tank which is pretty cheap at $10. The cartos kind of slide around in it though, and it's def not the same quality I have with my IBTanked tanks and my Cirrus tank. The Cirrus tank is nice, but the pricing at IBTanked is nicer.

I use primarily IBTanked pyrex cartotanks with pre-punched cartomizers. Ikenvape cartos when available, if not Smoktech single coil cartos.

^^^ I'd reply, but this guy said pretty much what I said except I have a Russian (Kayfun style RBA) and a ibtanked carto tank that I use with Ikenvape platinum cartos. I use them about equally. My protanks and other clearos are gathering dust.

Well, if you're not using them...can I have them? Come on....they are just sitting there? (kidding...a little bit....kind of) :)

JUST got my new RDA, only a cheapo Smok Octopus, just to try them, came with a 2.5ohm coil, and it seemed ok.. but once again lacked flavour.. im using it with a VW device and just couldnt get to a point where is vaped as nice as a carto so i re-coiled it at 1.5ohm, tried it again, still lacked flavour. vapor is better than a carto not massively but noticable.

am i doing something totally wrong or are cartos just the best?

yeah as expected its back to a dull faint taste again, what is with this thing
All in the juice. If your getting weak hits , dry hits or burnt hits it all comes down to wicking issues and its the same no matter what material or device. These issue tend to be less with carto tanks simply because of the large amount of juice they hold in the carto itself. I use protanks on stock 2.2 heads with little to no issues and great flavor but I take the time to thin my juices to flow well or stick to 80pg/20vg mixes. If it hits good flooded like you describe, thin your juice with some PG or distiled water starting with 1 drop per ML. Remember that these things were designed on 100% pg based liquids originally so to get optimal performance, that is the viscosity the liquid should be close to.
