Starting off with a standard 510 is a good thing . . . there are SO many options to choose from that you're first priority would be to get comfortably introduced into the vaping so you can lay down those analogs! A PCC would definitely be a plus to help assure the transition is a smooth one. Carts, cartos, LR, dual coils, tanks, higher voltage vaping, MODs, all of that will make more sense in time. Just stick with reading ECF, asking questions, and learn everything you can about the system you will soon have. Upgrading will "probably" come pretty soon, but the standard 510 is a great starter and back-up system to have around!! I still carry a 510 battery with me everday, just in case. :)

oh also if your looking for something that you can vape all day and not mess around with too much these tanks have never steered me wrong, and the replacement cartomizers for them are cheap. Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml

This comment doesn't belong here in my opinion...Please don't put a dual coil 1.6 ohm cartomizer unit on your 510...

Also with the 510-t or EGO-t systems the common story is we noobs buy them, can't stop tasting burning plastic, find ecf to be told that the system is requires fiddling and is unrefined, and we should put boge cartomizers on our 510 batteries...so either you've started past that point and good for you:) (I failed that portion of the test), or you are still to new to mess around with the 510-t system...either way, you will be fine with cartos...

Hey, Slim. I'm actually shopping for a PCC right now, so I'm thinking about throwing in some carts just so I can see the difference between the two...

Anything else that a newbie might want to consider buying before I place my order? I'd rather get everything at once instead of getting stuck with a bunch of shipping charges, ya know? :p

Hey Peachie28,

I'm no expert, but I personally like the Kanger Horizontal Coil cartos ... I've also tried the Boges as well and they are OK too. Kangers hold more, and for me give more vapor that is somewhat warmer. If you get some of each, I think you would use up both even if you prefer one over the other.
