I still have my working atomizers from last October. I chain vape everyday and rotate a few atomizers. Some of the cartomizers I tried out were just "ok" and the flavors didn't come through for me as much, or as consistently - or weren't wicking fast enough using 3.7v. LOL that said, my best vaping right now is coming from a modified RS CE2 R4 cartomizer, where I clipped the wick out and added Pyramid Tea Bag (PTB) material as the wicking medium. Look up the PTB mods.

If you read around here, and fully understand the internals of both attys and cartomizers, the insight will allow you to almost never destroy either.

In either case, keep them wet.

Good Luck!!

Yes - the stuffing in carts can singe a bit. This is less likely IMO if you switch your stuffing to blue foam. And of course it is less likely if your keep your carts topped off with eliquid and vape reasonably so your atty doesn't get hot enough to singe stuffing.

The stuffing in cartomizers can singe if you run them too dry. This stuffing cannot be replaced.

Cigarettes have burning leaves, paper, tar, and 4000 chemicals in them. Vaping seems safer than smoking.

There's a lot of variables in vaping so everyone's mileage will vary. All attys and cartomizers are meant to be disposible items and aren't made to last forever. I just this week lost my first atty at five months of usage:( the other's I've been using for 5 months or just a few weeks less are all still working just fine. I've been using the same cartomizer for 6 weeks tomorrow. I only use the carto when I'm driving and out and about and this past 6 weeks its actually seen quite a bit of use although I do use my attys more often then cartos. Never have a had a problem with the filler in my cartridge. It does take a bit of practice to learn how to consistantly get the right wetness down to wick good and consistantly but again, cartridge filler doesn't have to be a problem.

Now just because I've had such good luck doesn't mean ALL atties or cartomizers are going to last as long as mine or longer OR that someone can't have a problem with the cartridge filler. You are going to have to find what YOU are happy with and what works best for YOU. Some people love BOGE cartos. I'm not one of them. I love Joye Cartos while others don't. Some people just plain don't like any cartos. Some people love dripping. I'm not one of them. I've no interest in trying the new Ego tank system but have read some love it and some aren't too happy with it. Again, there are a lot of variables and personal preferences involved in what YOU will find works best for you. Good Luck:)

I have been alternating 2 attys for over 2 months. Every weekend I swap them and clean the used one. No problems yet. I don't use 510 attys though. They may burn a bit hotter than some? And I don't have any fat battery models w/LR attys that might burn out faster.

Carto - I think you can get maybe 4-6 days off one, adding juice when it needs it and before it gets dry, before it might start tasting bad or performing less well. Then you can try to clean them and let them dry and reuse. They are meant to be disposable so after some amount of time they will die or not function well any more. It's variable.
