Cartomizer leaking?

I have a cartomizer that I have tried refilling. The problem is that when I put more than like 3 drops in, it all runs out the bottom. I am not getting it in the center hole at all and I am filling from the top, dripping on the sides. Am I doing something wrong, or is it time for a new cartomizer?

These are cartomizers that came with a basic 808 battery. They were blank, filled them up and used them. Then I needed to refill it some and it started doing this. Thanks for any help!

It sounds like you burnt a hole in the center tube so the juice leaks out.You have to be careful not to vape them to dry or they burn.

How long have you been using it? Perhaps it is just an overfill, I still do that from time to time. Or you got some running down the center? Try to blow a bit out into a napkin, then see if it still leaks. If not, it is just too much juice or down the center.

If it looks all burned and yucky inside, just toss it and try a new one. It may just be finished.

I haven't let them get completely dry, I try to top them off as it gets a change in flavor, if that makes sense. Hmmm. I don't think I am overfilling, doing it the same way that I did with my first 2 cartomizers from my first kit. I suppose I may have let this one get too dry though, I have a cold at the moment so flavors aren't as strong.

also it depends on how old it is. It may be time to toss it. something I found works very well for refilling smoketeck cartos is to put the condom on the batt connector end when I'm refilling and let it sit a few minutes. The condom stops the juice from going out the bottom and gives it a chance to soak in. If it all runs out when you take the condom off the center tube is probably punctured and you need a new one.

I know with the Resurrector 1.7 ohm cartos, if you don't keep 'em really wet, you'll get the dreaded burnt flavor and possible leakage from burning the center tube through. I pushed one just two or three toots past the "change of flavor" stage and it was toast.

I ruined a new one by putting it on a vv device and didn't notice that the voltage was turned up.

These are only lasting me about 2 days before dumping juice. The ones that came with my first cig2o kit (808 battery) each lasted me about 2 weeks of all day use. I wish they offered them blank to refill, I would buy more there to check it out.

i have noticed this recently also,..i determined it was from the thickness of my juice at the time (sweet-vapes choclate/pb brownie-yumm). what i think happens is the poly-fill gets "gummed" up so even though it tastes like you need to fill...when you try to fill, the poly will not absorb anymore so it leaks out, just as it would if you had filled a new one too much.

i suppose you can boil/clean and re-use.

That makes sense, thank you! Hopefully my new kit gets here soon and I can play around more but I have to make this work for now

I have no burnt taste and it doesnt seem like i`m filling the center tube either (then again,i`m blind as a bat) and I have one that keeps doing this.

I got like 40 coming so in the bin I toss.
