How long is your DCT coil lasting before having to replace cartomizer in tank? (Rebuildable tank coils for another discussion, not looking for better, just wondering about longevity of non-repairable ones).

When I last vaped I would drip in a single coil 510 atty. They didn't last too long before needing cleaning or replacing. Most worked very poorly after a couple of weeks regardless of cleaning.

Do tank coils last longer in general due to less chance of dry burning?

With a ZMax2 on it's way (that will probably never see voltage mode) and a handful of tank/ DC cartomizers, I'm curious to hear how long your DCs are lasting you.

I would say the biggest factor in length time wise is the juice. Clear, unsweetened juices will give the longest time with dark and/or sweeter reducing the cartos life span. I'm not a DC fan but when I did use them I got 2 maybe 3 fills using a dark juice that I love and about a week at 2 fills a day using lighter ones before the draw got to tight and the juice started tasting funky.

Tanks will lengthen the life span in comparison due to consistently keeping the carto wet but don't expect miracles.

I use flavorless juice, and I can get around a month out of one carto in my tank. I punch two decent sized holes, and try to keep it at a slight gurgle, barely hear a gurgle. I am sure I can get more life out my cartos, but they do loose the amount of vapor produced over time. When I load in a new carto, I feel like a freight train in the amount of vapor produced.

For dual coil cartos, I get about 3 days with dark juice and 5-7 days with light juice. I use about 5-10 ml a day, so:

dark juice: 15-30 ml per carto change
light juice 25-70ml per carto change

This is untanked usage also. For comparison, for RBA genesis type atomizer, I have to recoil dark juices 2x a day, and recoil light juices every 1-3 days. However, this costs little to none (100 feet is 15 bucks). Also, when a carto goes bad, you can vape it till its terrible, but 1) this is unsatisfactory and 2) you never get all the liquid out of a carto, causing waste and even more money.

I'm using laser-drilled single coil Smokteks and Ikenvape Platinums, not that that should make much of a difference in this discussion. My results vary depending upon the juice used.

The more clear fruit flavors I tend to get more use out of the cartomizer in my tanks; probably 4-5 tank refills before I feel they need replaced.

The darker or mostly vg coffee flavors I get much less use; probably 2 or 3 refills at the most and then the draw becomes stiff or tight and the flavor starts to taste off.
