Hi borockster,

A carto could (and some do) leak between the carto and the threaded end, but I don't think it happens very often unless it just happens to be a bad batch like Pokey says.

I think that is one of the things I realized early on about vaping. Its a mechanical situation and sometimes things are just going to go wrong.

Thanks for your input guys. I have always blown out my cartos from the threaded end, but I'll try from the top.
I use the cartos on my T-Rex with a cone over it. I wasn't getting any good airflow, so I removed the cone to see if
juice was blocking the air holes and the cone was all full of juice. Then I checked T-rex #2, and juice was actually spilling over the top of the cone.
Well, today's a new day, and Ms Techno's going to use her Texan Toothpick accessory to plug up the hole and try to fill carefully. I would truly rather believe this is a user problem rather than an equipment issue...

Good afternoon to you, my dear TT. All is well, I trust, in the lands of East Texas?

Some of us hoarders, I mean, old-timers still have the condom bottoms from the original V4L cartos -- I am sure you remember those...the little ....-plug came attached to the condom? Before they went cheapo on us and did away with it altogether?

They fit in the DC's (and other various and sundry cartos) very nicely, essentially plugging that hole from the bottom. Now, juice can still get in the airway as it is not nearly long enough to occlude the entire length of an XL airway, for example. But it has the advantage of not only blocking most of the passage; but, the pressure that happens when you pull it off will, essentially, pull out the majority of the juice that is not in the filler material, proper. It also hastens the speed of which you can fill the carto if you have a slow soaking juice. I used to Taryn Spin; I've decided I'm dizzy enough to forego that pleasure at this point in vaping and this little trick works for me.

Well that is just one fine idea Miss Pokey. Excellent idea. Its an honor to be in the presence of such an intelligent and inventive lady.

And I not only remember the condoms of which you speak, I actually have some in my vaping mini-museum.

I don't taryn spin either. I tried that once but it slipped out of my hand and hit my dog right in the eye. In retaliation, he knocks over the wastepaper basket at my desk every night and spreads the contents around the room. I can't say much to him about it because after all, I started it.

Oh, and techno, if you happen to be reading all this, you will still want to blow out the carto a bit - from the top. I always wondered why you had those tread marks on your lips, but I was afraid to ask.

Lubs to all, TT

Yeah, Techno, true that. Sometimes I forget and start talking in lingo to someone who shows an interest in my PV stuff at work. I keep babbling on not realizing that the shock has short-circuited their ability to hear anything after a reference to condoms and, heaven forbid, ....-plugs slips out.

I swear it is always the "quiet ones" that make us laugh the hardest!:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

I catch myself talking like that to my 74 year old mom sometimes and get quite the reaction. lol

Can you tell me if dual coils are available for 901-808s? Thanks.
They should work beautifully on your T-Rex as they work great on our 1100 mAH Rivas and even better on the E-Power. I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

I use these:

510 Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers 1.5 ohm ( Pack of 5 ) [VJDC001] - $9.95 : VaporJunction, E-Cigarette Supply

Their a 510, but Vapor Junction has adapters here:

901 to 510 Adapter [VJAD004] - $4.95 : VaporJunction, E-Cigarette Supply

that will let you use the 510 carto on a 901/808 battery.

Hope this helps because these are excellent cartos and I really think you would enjoy them.

TT

One more question (yeah sure). I have an 808 battery, which is only 3.6v I believe. The description says for use with 3.7v. Will that make a difference in vaping quality?

Forget this one. I'm a dummy. It is a 3.7v battery. I don't know where I got 3.6. I think I misread some information I got.
