Cartomizer Question...

Can someone please tell me where I can get more information on Cartomizers... What are they exactly.. How to correctly use them... How long do they last? Do you refill them? (I am a dripper)? I would also like to confirm that they will fit my EGo.

I am still kind of new to this ecig thing but I ordered an Ego a few days ago and it uses a 510 Atty,
And I have been told and have read that the 510 Cartomizers work well on the Ego. Well I hope so I ordered a bunch of blanks and a few pre filled ones to check out. Here is a site that is running a big sale on 510 Cartomizers Electronic Cigarettes from Cigeasy - Home of the Easy E-Cigarette

If you buy anything from Cigeasy, don't buy very many. You only have 7 days to DOA. I was gonna buy a hunnert cartos, but with out any warranty it just ain't worth taking the chance half might be DOA, but not finding out till after the crummy warranty is out. JMHO

Most companies don't offer warranties on cartos. I buy mine from V4L and as far as I know, they are not under any type of warranty. Honestly, I would never buy 100 cartos from any company unless I tried a box first to see how they are.

I ordered a bunch of cartos (510/ego), using them since yesterday, they seem great except for occasional mouthful of juice after refilling, have to figure out what i'm doing wrong. Cartomizers are a cool idea, no mess just vaping... but i'm getting better at cart refilling too

Getting juice in your mouth is because they are overfilled.

The last thing you should do after filling a carto is to put a paper towel of the baterry end and blow thru the carto. Keep blowing until no juice comes out. Clean the carto with a new paper towel and your ready to go.

You might do a search for Tyian(sp?) spin technique. I've been trying it and it seems to work well.

I use the taryn spin with a cap over the threads to see how much I may over filled.
Hope this helps , Oh the spin video is in the 'Tips and Tricks' section of the forum I think Leaford(sp?) is performing the forward and reverse spin ( very easy to do and only takes seconds to perform) in the video.

Thanks, davidcid, good point to have a cap on the battery end when spinning. I did watch the videos before ordering cartos, spin tricks work (although my daughter though I went mad when she first saw me do it ).

zoiDman, blowing after refilling works, thanks. But I found that if you blow too much you can blow off a lot of juice. So I think bowing a bit and then testing by sucking works better.

I'm using 510 Mega Cartomizers from Nhaler with my eGo/Riva and love them. I use the condom method to refill them from the battery end. I always remove the white soft end at the mouth so I can monitor how full they get as I refill them which avoids e-liquid in the mouth. Instead of replacing the white end, I only use a drip tip as a mouth piece. Its more comfortable and extends the length of the Cartomizer which avoids problems with the Cone on the ego/Riva. This works great for me.

I use drip tips too, and when using a cartomizer, I don't overfill it.

Put it in a battery bag, give it a few gentle spins to help the liquid down a little, and that's it. I don't refill it to the top. The low pressure system at the mouth will pull liquid and vapor up anyway.

I said this in another thread, I'll say again.
Take the cap off, tilt it towards you, drip down the side until the filler is DAMP not saturated. If there is any juice in the center tube turn it over and blow ONCE, fast, kinda like you're spitting, to remove the excess. Too much and you will empty it. Cap it, and vape it.
