I just setup my carto tank last night, prime it for 2 hours and fill up to set overnight like 8 hours. Morning i tried to vape, its very rich and delicious and i feel so high however there is a hissle sound coming from the bottom of the vent hole when i draw from the drip tip which is very irritating.

Troubleshoot:
1. Tested it on a provari mini same hissle sound
2. Cold vape without using the fire button same sound
3. Check the center hole of the Cartomizer for flood and blockage, no sign of flood

Haiz really sibei sian of the hissle noise.... :(

Erm... Do you mean hissy-hassle-crackling-pop sound? If yes, it's normal. Unles it's blub-blub-blub-blub. Then it's flooding.

He said cold vape also same sound, presuming he meant taking a toot without firing the mod.
It's just normal air flow sound. That can only change when you loosen or tighten your carto to your mod. A restriction in the air flow would cause such sounds. It's just basic physics no? Like during windy nights, you hear hissing sounds at your window.

@Currynoah its crackling sound + the restriction of airflow sound when i fire

@madhero Yes cold vape. yup i did tried loosen the carto in a slight twist to troubleshoot as well, the sounds disappeared but i cant fire. does adding an adaptor or any funky gadget to assist in a cartos airflow issue ?

Wow. Been hunting all over the forum this morning looking for a solution to the exact same problem!

Hiss with or without fire; crackle plus hiss with fire. LOUD crackle plus hiss.

The vendor set up my tank for me at a meetup and I had no trouble then. I refilled last night and it's been like yours since. If I loosen to the point there's no noise I get no fire. And it's really, really loud.

I hope someone out there has a more effective solution to offer...

Doing various troubleshooting now, will revert once i've a solution.

However i might need more time as i live in sg(deliveries) as well as i'm doing my exams now.

Cheers

I usually dont fill my tank that much, but sometimes too much juice can leak from the bottom contact. Try filling just above the hole. I had tons of leakage with tanks like this :( I just drip from cartos now and rda's.

When you are done filling, trying blowing the middle part and put tissue at the connector. It could be the middle part has juice. I noticed also the last time, if i tilt my pv from different angles it makes a difference also when im vaping.

yeah thats what i do to save juice from accidental spillage when draining in drain out during flood. things get better when i dont suck so hard, missed the hard sucking taste of clearomizer

now once flood just drain out the bit, blow until center hole cleared, do some dry firing and re setup my tank and i'm good to go. quite troublesome but i guess its part of learning process

Sorry i mean flooding. that day was a bad day, not matter how i tried also flooded. got darn fed up almost dump my cartomizer tank

Flooding usually happens when you have a bad airflow or the cartomizer hole was punched with a hole that's too big.
Try this: put in carto, fill juice, before capping your tank, turn it such that your carto hole is not submerged in the juice. Then you cap on.
