Hi all --new to ikenvape but am looking to find better cartomizers than what i've been using. I'm also pretty new to vaping and the whole voltages/ohms stuff so please bear with me!
1) I have a vaporking manual passthrough that I believe runs at 5v. Will the ikenvape "808 mega std" work for this? I'm just looking for a better cartomizer that will taste better/last longer than stock pre-filled carto's...will that carto also be ok for regular manual 808-type batteries?
2) My main pv is a basic ego-style with 650mah batteries. i've read through a lot of threads here and read through the info on isaac's site, but am still not grasping the differences between 510 gold v2 dripstyle, 510 gold black soft cap,and 510mega standard. Will any or all of these work well on a basic ego? Have tried both regular and LR Boge cartomizers and can't really discern a difference between the two. I also occasionally use stock 510 manual batteries.
I'm not really a dripper, but don't want to go the tank route, either. Right now the constant refilling of PTB cartridges is getting old:p
Thanks for any advice you can share --

I can't answer your question about the vaporking and the 808, but I use an Ego with 510 gold's, 510 gold V2's, 801 fusions, and 901's all from Ikenvape. They all work great! The main difference between the 510 gold's and the V2's is the filler and the bottom connection. It is a huge step up from the 510 Gold's.

The V@ is an excellent carto as is the Fusion, My favorite carto but it is an 801 thread so you would need an adapter. The Megas are wonderful cartos too. They all last forever and put out vapor that is amazing. Another one you might try is the platinum. I think the Mega 510LR might be another one you should try.

They would like to but some of them have a limit of 15 on them. That's how good they are. I'm set for awhile but everytime I think that he comes out with a new one and I start all over again. They're like gold, they never lose their resale value so unlike other cartos your not stuck. Trouble is no one will sell theirs.

I wonder why? :)

Hey
Dan,
There are high significant differences between the models. What it comes down to is "What your preference is really. People can always swear what is the best but it purely all based on opinions in the vaping world as there are so many variances and options with vaping. One f the lowest sellers in the store is my absolute favorite bar none and that is a LR 901 with 4.1V on a Provari and a 3.7V on a standard unit. You see, both units will give a different reaction based on the type of power supply not even mentioning the wild liquid variances, in which are just astronomical especially when taking in the fact of hundreds of different vendors making their own liquid for retail. From a ridiculous amount of different based flavorings to the type of PG,VG and especially nicotine. What I'm saying is, that your vaping bliss will depend solely on you, the best I can do as others is give you guidlines on what to try things out on. As there are folks that absolutely love the cooler side of vaping using a 2.5Ω unit or even an on 3.7V as there are others that want to apply 6V on one to get the feeling they desire.
Cartomizers and atomizers alike don't really like to take in different voltages as in what you were referring to as applying a 5V passthrough then changing it back to 3.7V. The 3.7V will perform awfully weak after that treatment.

Metaphorically: Look at it like the voltage is water pouring through an atomizer making a specifically sized hole. When you would then apply 3.7V, your only pouring a very small stream through the hole that 6V had made. therefore only receiving little performance. The target is to keep the water blasting through by keeping a strict flow. The hole you created will remain it's full size indefinitely.
So this takes us back to the beginning, If you have vaped long enough, do you know what you prefer yet? As in warmer vs cooler?, or heavy actual feeling (throat hit) or minimal? Or flavorful?
What is more important to you in which order? Flavor, Actual feeling, or Vapor production

Curious, I have tried the platinums regular didn't really hit the spot. The draw was tight and flavor was a little weak. I use a Riva 1100 system. I currently just use cartridges and attys but would love to have some cartomizers as back up. What would the consensus recommend. Thanks

If you don't mind using a 510-901 adapter, I would recommend the LR Mega KR-808 or the LR901 carto. The LR Mega 510 is pretty nice, too.

thanks isaac --I guess my first post was misleading ---i have 2 different pv's (1 a 5v 808 passthru and the other a 510 3.x ego). I'm not really trying to use the same cartomizer for both or even get the exact same performance from both devices. I ordered 1 or 2 of your different styles and will try them out. You've already shipped them, too -- thanks for being so fast and for all the advice

Hello :)

Just signed up to your shop as I would appreciate to try your stuff. Related to the quote, if i told you my order of importance is: flavor (most) - vapor production - TH - vapor heat (less) which carto would you suggest me?

And what (well in few moments of the day my needs change :p) if the order is TH and vapor (most) whatever (less)?

Thank you very much :)

It's totally my fault Dan, Sometimes I try to go into long tangents in attempt to enlighten so to speak. Going back to your #1 the Std 808 does provide a good fit for 5V as the LR 808 will also be good on an Ego. 808 models give much more flavoring than any 510 really. It's a trademark of sorts. Thank you for the order!
