I wanted to give KR808 carts a try, so I ordered a pack, along with a 510-to-cartomizer adapter. I had seen several threads mentioning an easy refill method using a syringe, so I got one of those too. Unfortunately, none of the threads I saw had detailed instructions on how it is done. I figured it would be straightforward enough to figure out, but now that I have the cart in my hand, it is not. I can look straight through the cart from the mouth hole out the battery hole. It seems that if I were to inject liquid into it with the syringe, it would just squirt right out the other side. I definitely remember reading that you should be able to inject from the battery side without having to disassemble the cart. How is this done?

The needle I got is a fairly wide guage, blunt tip model sold by Good Prophets. It does fit through the battery hole, but only just barely. The hole isn't wide enough to let me angle the needle by more than a few degrees, and I don't want to go blindly jabbing around inside the cart in any case.

Any help is appreciated.

candre23,

You first have to take one apart to see what to do. Pop the end piece. Inside there's a silicone plug with a hole, take that out. Now you see the filler and a hole in the center or close to the center. When filling, you want to avoid getting eliquid into the center area, so all mouth-end fills are done by holding the cartridge at around a 45 degree angle and dripping onto the inner cartridge surface and allowing the eliquid to then run into the filler along the side. But first, you should put the small plug back into the batt end and then the rubber cap on top of it to prevent the eliquid from running straight out and allowing it to build up in the filler. Rotating as you fill is also recommended for the best saturation.

Once you understand all of that - esp. not getting eliquid into the center part - which would flood the atty - then you can use the syringe going through the mouth end hole without removing the end piece - take it slow and rotate as you fill. Put 1ml and perhaps a bit more (this is where the trial and error part comes in - exacly how much and ymmv per carto as well) and slowly inject.

After, you can put the mouth end rubber on and do the 'Taryn spin' by placing the carto in a bag or lanyard with the batt end down and spinning it using the centrifugal force to further saturate the whole filler. Some will then add more juice as the space is now available and while I've done that it is just too much hassle for another 5-7 drops. Some also then let the carto sit overnight before using. I don't. ;-) IF I drove for an occupation, I'd probably use every suggestion for a full load.

Except for the few more cartos flavors that I'm trying out, I predominantly use blanks for heaven gifts - there's no underflavor with those - and fill with my own eliquids - VG in order to get more vapor from the cartos which with the prefilled cartos can be a high "v" on ymmv.
