Sorry for all the questions tonight people. I am not a spammer. :2cool:

I just saw an ad for a BogeTech cartomizer tank and wondered how they (or any) tank works. The parts list shows the center pipe, the end to vape on, and two rings to connect the tank.

But what I didn't see was replacement cartomizers. Is there any? Or do you essentially use them like clearomizers?

Thanks.
Doug

Asking questions is the main way that i learned so don't apologize. Thats what the forum is for. The tanks usually come with one cartomizer & you have to order replacements separately. You have to prime/fill the carto first before filling the tank. This is the most important part. If you don't prime it correctly you will burn the carto. Depending on the juice you can usually get around a week or more out of one from my experience. If you buy replacement cartomizers you can get them prepunched 1 hole or 2 hole. They are probably in another section of the site you're looking at. I recommend that for starting. I use boge SR carts in my tanks. You should also check out Baditude's blogs on cartotanks. He breaks it down really well!

Thanks to both of you. I am still learning all this stuff and just posted a new thread with the same question. I think I have finally figured out that when someone replies, the thread pops back to the top of the list. LOL Anyhow, thanks. I will see where I can find a punch but in the meantime, I will try the nail and hammer approach.

Do either of you know where I can get a punch? A dealer I mean.

Using tanks and cartos require patience and practice. Your first couple of carto changes may be frustrating if the priming isn't done right but once you get the hang of it, it's a pretty good way to go (although I've moved on to a large clearomizer called the Vapeonly BCC, much easier and more convenient).

You can order cartomizers on vendor websites if your local B&M doesn't have them. I get my flanged, pre-punched Smoktech cartos I use with my DCT from The Best US E-Liquid Made | DFWvapor.com, The Best US E-Liquid Made!. They're a couple of bucks a pop and will last a week to 10 days if you're a moderate vaper. In my opinion it's worth ordering them pre-punched rather than trying to punch your own and getting the hole just right.

There are many Youtube videos that will walk you through the process of priming your cartos and properly filling the tank. Good luck!
