Cartomizer / Tank Question

I posted in the cartomizer section but no response there.

I am using an IKV 2.0 Mega Punch in a 22mm tank and have a couple questions for the more experienced folks

1. I am vaping DIY 60%VG-40%PG. Every once in a while I get a bitter hit. Is this a feed issue?

2. The last two days when I refill I am seeing a single drop of very dark juice on the battery connection. (My juice is clear) Did I burn it?

I dropped it into my pocket to help the wife move something and during the move she said it was vaping, not sure how long it ran that way LOL

It is still tasting good 95% of the hits Thanks

Sounds as if it isnt primed correctly. Try removing the drip tip and adding a few extra drops of juice in there until it cant take anymore.

Sometimes halfway through a tank I will experience something like this due to air bubbles etc and this seems to fix it for me.

I've experienced this too. It seems too happen when the coil has got hot for a long period of time. And it cools down and take a few odds to get fresh liquid in it goes away. I've noticed it with dripping in attys.

So my guess is I am vaping to much to quickly for the carto to feed properly?? Or will the heat cause the taste no matter how fast it feeds?
If I thin the juice out further I will try distilled water, I really am not wanting more PG

Try giving the carto a few dry pulls before you vape it.

You also dont say how long youve been using this carto?

I have been using the carto 4, maybe 5 days. First carto I have ever used. Primed with syringe. Three tanks went through before the bitter taste appeared. It has only done it twice today.

I do chain vape at times.
