Someone help me out here , I have a Riva 1100 and so far love it,( of course after looking around here I wish I had one of those exotic wooden jobs...)I purchased some Boge cartomizers and well they vape very nice for me. My question is when I use my pv with an atty and separate cart ( which I have modded 2 so far one with the cotton ball method and one with the tea bag method...I like the cartomizer best , vape is good taste is good , and thats with a really weak flavored vanilla...so why doesnt the atty cart combo taste as good? seems to be harsh with a burned taste? I dont maybe its just me.

It's not just you. Cartridges just generally suck. Get yourself a drip tip to use with the atomizers, and you'll see a step up in performance from the cartos. It was a happy day when I finally stopped messing with my cartridges to make them work. Drip tips for at home, and cartos for going out.

Actually, I'm using homemade CE2 tanks 100% of the time now, but that's not up everyone's alley.

After using both types, the atty/cart seems to use up a lot less juice. I topped it off before each vape.

I do break apart my cartos and the squeeze out the juice in the filler using a 10cc syringe, though I still think I'm wasting a more juice than I did with the atty/cart.

The first thing I noticed when I switched from attys to cartos was the significant increase in flavor. All my juices taste better with the cartomizers.

Also, I only have to go thru the refill process once a day now instead of every couple of hours. ( I am using 4 Cartos a day). I don't have to lug around the juice bottles with me everywhere I go any more.

Standard cartomizers have a higher resistance than standard attys and maybe thats what makes the difference in flavor.

As measured on my ohm meter, attys are around 2.4 while the cartos come in at 2.9 ohms.
