I seem to have some pretty bad luck with cartomizers. I'll admit... I'm new to vaping, but the construction for some of these just seems... meh. That's the best way I can summarize my feelings about them.

I've been using both Gotvapes Fluxomizers (2.8-3.0 & 2.4-2.6ohms) and GenJoye 510's cartos. I'm not happy with either of them. The Fluxomizers seem to fall apart after two to three refills, and the GenJoye cartos waste too much fluid when trying to fill - and recently the ones I've been using for about four days started separating at the plastic/atomizer and begin leaking there. I've been thinking of trying the Boge type with a drip tip... but I have no idea which tips fit them and I've been doing so much research and taste testing that I'm getting somewhat fed up... Aaaahhhhh

I know a lot of it is subjective and I have to find what I like, but everything seems to be so inconsistent.

/endrant

Okay... So onto Boge. What is the difference between LR and Regular? I searched on here but nothing comes back in chronological order... Are there any other brands I should try? There seems to be so many out there but also so many that are complete crap. I'm trying to avoid the crap at all costs at this point because this is getting pretty expensive lol... Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :vapor:

I use the Royal Smoker cartos from COV and haven't had any issues. I've lost track of the number of times I have re-filled them.

I do wash them out with near boiling water after about 4 or 5 refills and pop them in the oven on low for a few minutes to dry afterwards.

I think I like the 2.5 ohm ones best with my vGo clone, but the 2.8 ohm work well too. The higher ohm models are too light for me. I am hesitant to go to a lower ohm, because I dislike the hotness of an LR atty.

Boge 2.0Ω. They are widely available, try LiteCig, Vapors Etc, or Vapor Kings. I get mine from Liberty Flighs but they are out of stock ATM. The easiest to use and the most reliable.

And if you feel more adventurous, try the the new eGo-t atty and tanks. My latest favorite.

I don't wanna guinea pig with the eGo-t, yet. I need to get something reliable and let my wallet rest. I'm almost spending as much on this as I do analogs... lol

Edit: What's the difference between 2.0 and regular? Ahhh so confusing.

You're lucky, most of us spend more... at least initially! I love being a guinea pig.

Then go with the Boge 2.0Ω or Premium Platinum 2.5Ω from IkenVape or Drip-Tip 510 cartomizers, also from IkenVape. I use and like them all.

What's the difference really between the 2.0 and 2.5?

total wattage, you can definitely tell the difference between a 2.0 and a 2.5 the 2.5 is warmer, more TH more vapor...I think 2.0 is the way to go its a lot of the benefits of going true LR (1.9 and down) but its still not as much of a juice hog and it doesn't drastically alter flavor)

2.4 is ok on a true 3.7 device but I like 2.0 on the fat battery 510's....and 2.0 is also fine on a true 3.7

Thank you for explaining. I'm using a standard eGo battery at the moment... 650mah. Will probably kill it, eh?

And Stownz... that would just look silly on my eGo. Bah lol...

The 2.0Ω ones vape a bit hotter. The formula you should know anyway is:

Wattage (the heat or power generated by your PV) = voltage (of your battery) squared divided by resistance (ohms) of your atomizer. Hence, a 2.0Ω carto on a 3.2v eGo battery delivers 5.1 Watts. A 2.5 Ω atty on the same battery = 4.1 Watts, etc.

4-6 Watt range is considered the sweet spot for most vapers. Of course, there are some who like it hot, like 8+ Watts, but that's not for the faint of heart and I don't recommend it for the new vapers. Besides, if you really want to go high safely, you'll need a LR atty and a battery that delivers at least a true 3.7v (or more). Or an HV mod and a HR atty or carto.

What's the resistance on the GenJoye cartomizers? I can't seem to find that...

I use them on ego's all the time, I don't think 2.0ohm is as dangerous as 1.5 ohms....at least I know a few people here use 2.0's on ego's and I know 2 people in real life who do as well.

I do too; 5 Watts is sweet and safe.

I even used them on my true 3.7v SE Riva and they did just fine.

I use the Boge 2.0 Ohm Cartos and they work great on an eGo batt. If you want the same Carto with a little lower resistance (more vapor) ProVape has them in a 1.8ohm version:

E-Cig Accessories, Atomizers, & Parts

The Iken Cartos have been listed in this thread and they are also super!

I had some problems with the Provapes' cartos; some of them burned rather quickly and unexpectedly. I'm not sure what he carries now; he used to alternate his stock between the Boge and the SLB LR cartos. I don't remember which ones I got, it was some time ago. But I love Iken's cartos--my favorite ones are the Premium Platinums and the drip-tips.
