Cartomizers for 6V vaping

Hello All

I am a newb to vaping. I have recently ordered a device I will be using to vape at 6V. Hurry up mailman.

I love cartomizers and I have found one site that lists 5ohm cartos they recommend for 5+ volt vaping.

I am just wondering if these are the only ones I should use or if people also use the 2-3 ohm. I just don't want to blow up lots of cartos as I am retired and on a pretty strict budget.

I think you will find even a HV carto isn't going to work very well, cartos don't wick fast enough for HV you will probably end up dripping at 6v or waiting for your cartos to wick.

The dual coil 510 mega cartos are awesome at 6.0v. Several of the forum vendors carry them (madvapes, COV, etc etc). Here is a review of them and a lot of reading afterwords.

I'm vaping dual coils at 6.0v right this minute. They are great!

Any time. ECF is a great resource and full of the friendliest people. I think your question was in the right spot.

ECF really is big. there's a crazy amount of information archived and discussed here every day. When you have some free time, just start clicking through each forum section and each sub-forum section. It's pretty well laid out and the moderators do good work keeping it fairly organized. Getting the "lay of the land" makes it a lot easier to find the right areas for different questions or discussions.

I have a 6V Prodigy and cartos that measure 3.0-3.2Ω work wonderfully.

That's great to know CardinalWinds. I will meter some of the cartos I have and maybe some of them will be okay to try out before payday.

This is my method - 3Ω boge cartos at 6V - fill 'em up - stick it on your device of choice (I use a GGTB) - If it goes bang, chuck it - if it works, use it until it goes bang.

I have had some that last 2 minutes and others that have lasted a month - at about a pound each I don't really worry about them.

I use Boge (silver thread) 3.2 ohm carto's on 6v without any problem. I only vape at 6v and 3.2's have been fine for me. I usually get a couple weeks of heavy vaping before I need to use a new one.

I just didn't want to hear "bang" immediately each and every time LOL. And I couldn't find much info about this subject but there is just so much info here. I will look for the 3.2 ohms, haven't found any yet. I will also try the dual coil cartos.

The carto's I buy come from liquidxpress.com and they run about 3.2-3.3. The price on them is good ($8/pack) and the filler is packed loosely so they vape/wick quite nicely. I haven't tried the dual coils yet. You should be able to get at least a week from a 3.2 on 6v from my experience. Mine sometimes last longer.

Liberty Flights in the UK (so I'm sure they must do in the 'good ol' U. S. of A.) carry the 2 ohms & 3 ohms Boge Carto's. I think I'm being a little dramatic when I said they go 'BANG' it's more of a burnt smell then stops working, my advise is keep them well juiced.
I'm also sure that many suppliers hold these as I believe these are the industry standard and usually first choice for a lot of people.
For what it's worth, my Wife and I use these exclusively and don't have any issues what I tend to do when putting a new carto on at 6V is pulse the button and gradually build up to a full burn. I'm not sure if this helps but I have in the past accidentally put a dry carto on my mod because I was distracted and immediately killed it.

If you fill them with juice you shouldn't have any problems, good luck, kick back and enjoy.

Yep Liberty Flights on this side of the pond does have the 3ohm. And wow ... I hadn't found the liquidxpress site before. New shops to visit, more things to try.

Someday I will get ahead and start saving money by vaping .. well maybe.

Yep, dual coil smoktech carts are the win at pretty much any voltage, and they never have that burn taste.

Just something I wanted to add in case others are reading this thread. I also belong to a forum "across the pond" and they were talking about something that's so simple but I probably wouldn't have thought of it.

I mostly vape at 3.7 and I have had a few cartos that eventually died out. The ohm rating just got too high for it to vape adequately. They were talking about throwing those on the 6V device and vaping away.

Now I wish I hadn't thrown all them away.

So I will be trying dual cartos, regular cartos and my cartos I would usually throw away. LOL

Lots of good info on these forums for sure.
