I like the idea of the ecig a lot and so far I'm doing quite well with a two piece vaporizer and pre-filled cartomizers. I wanted to know if there are any long term vaporizers here who generally prefer the cartomizer product itself. If so, can I ask why and what brands do you rely on for a safe and tasty "smoke"?

I used to make my own tobacco cigarettes. I did this for years. Buying the empty tubes, the tobacco, eventually mixing the tobaccos for different effects and I really really enjoyed. I had, most people said, the best and tastiest smokes they had ever had.

Here's the thing though I don't ever plan on going down that route again. Tobacco is easy. Most of what I bought was easily identifiable as grown and sold in the U.S. With these vapor solution liquids, I'm concerned about where it's coming from, what's really in it, and I don't know feel like I know enough to keep myself safe. Besides that I have enough hobbies. I really don't need a new one in taking extra care of three piece vaporizer and refilling with solution and modding the ecig for performance. I just want to screw on a new, sealed, and safely produced cartomizer onto my battery and run out the door.

So what do you think? Does what I want really exist in the market yet? High vapor production cartomizers that fit onto good quality manual or auto batteries? Any of them maybe happen to be made in the USA (almost sure the answer to this one is "no")?

Hope I don't tick anyone off. It's just how I feel right now and what I would like at the moment. It's a preference like anything else, but I might be the only one who appreciates the concept of a sealed cartomizer.

You didn't say what brand you are currently using. Most people here have brand preferences, so you should get plenty of responses. One of the most popular is the 510, which was originally made by Joyetech, and they still make them, but there are many imitators. They usually say "510 compatible" or something. Personally, I would recommend staying with the genuine Joyetech, or Joye for short. They make pre-filled cartomizers in regular and menthol, in several nicotine strengths. I buy mine from cignot.com, a highly-regarded vendor.

If you are going to buy pre-filled cartomizers, you may want to keep your empties for awhile. They are easy to refill, and there are much better-tasting juices available than what comes in the "stock" pre-filled cartos, but again this is going to bring out a hundred different fans of a hundred different vendors.

If you want to know where the juice is coming from, I suggest you email the vendors and ask them.

I don't know about the "Made in America" seal of approval part. But, there are some good prefilled cartomzers on the market. It will cost you a lot more in the long run to keep on buying the prefilled. Plus, once you get the hang of filling the cartomizers, it's pretty quick and simple.

Also, some of the juices they use for the prefilled are not always of the highest quality or flavor. MyFreedomSmokes is one of the suppliers I know of that carry both the 510 and 808 prefilled. You didn't mention what type of unit you are using so, I don't want to list a bunch of suppliers that wouldn't fit your needs.

What are you using at this point?
