Hey guys. After so much money wasted on supplies and alot of stuff that didn't really work anyway, I ended up with The Natural & RSST which I really enjoy. The only problem is leaking. I would like to purchase cartotank so I can put it in my pocket and go out with my kids with out worrying about leaking.
My question is how long will standart cartomizer last?
Or how many ml of juice can you burn before replacing new carto?
Is there difference in taste in different brands?
I just heard so many stories but I would greatly appreciated honest replies. Thanks...Roman

510 Standard resistance cartos (3.0 ohms) typically last 2 weeks.
510 Low resistance cartos (2.0 ohms) last shorter of course.

However, everyone is different - I use 3.0 ohm cartomizers and they typically last me well more than 1 month. I'm not as much a heavy vapor that I used to be, but I'd say I'm a mediocre vapor now. The cartomizer doesn't just simply die on me, but I tend to throw them out when I notice lesser hits or have increasing difficulty in the draws.

I'm not sure what the different brands are out there, but the 510 cartomizers I purchase are SmokTech. Flavor is great, hit is great, and they last quite a while.

So, my personal story in short:

1. SmokTech 510 cartomizers (3.0 ohm, standard resistance)
2. Lasts 1-2 months.
3. Don' really keep track of how many mL of juice. I just.... vape.. :vapor:
4. SmokTech brand - good quality, good flavor, good vapor production, etc... all good and gravy.

Additional info (more advanced):
Other preferences for the cartomizers I use..

o Single coil
o 2 hole pre-punched (preferably by laser, not manual)

Here's what I'm talking about...
Single Coil (2 Hole) 3.0 ohm Tank Cartomizers (5 pack)

Hopefully I didn't confuse you too much. Good luck and happy vaping~:toast:

Cartomizers are disposable; they were not even meant to be refilled once, originally. They don't last very long; yes, some people use them over and over, until the coil pops, but that is not a good idea. As you vape, the coil gets gunked up and the quality of vape, flavor and vapor production begin to diminish--and often polyfill get scorched.

In my experience, a cartomizer can only vaporize 6-10 ml of juice, if the juice is relatively clean and clear. Sweet, dark, gooey juices ruin the coil much faster. Carto tank extends the lifespan of a cartomizer by at least 50%, maybe more. But they really need to be replaced, sooner or later.

I recommend single coil cartomizers for carto tanks!

Have to agree with Katya on this, though I use mine until the flavor changes(about 7 days at 3-5ml/day) I have never burned a coil out but have melted the filler a couple times being in too much of a hurry on a new carto. Cartos were crap until someone came up with the idea of putting a tank around them, now its my favorite way to vape on the go.

I've never had a carto last more than 2 days. I DO like a dark, sweet juice though. I average between 4 and 8 ml's a day though so this number isn't surprising.

Basically what it comes down to is, what's your juice like? As far as burning filler goes, EWWWWWW, I would NOT want to vape that. Talk about horrible chemicals and nasty taste LOL

I'm also active with my kids and such. Most good carto tanks won't leak, but I've found that the side-fill grommet tanks are convenient and Hold on to the carto great.
PBusaurdo does a video on how well tanks hold. I use these-
Tanks - Mom and Pop Vapor Shop
and there are others in that store and maybe 2 other stores.

With thin, non sweet juice my carto last for weeks. 90ml. +.

So do you think is it worth buying rebuildable atomizer for the tank? Something like the diver or killer 705 in the long run it should pay for it self. Is the flavor/vapour same or better?

Whatever rebuildable you become interested in, do some research on them before you purchase one. You mentioned in your first post you were looking for a delivery device that would be easily transportable without leaking issues - many of the Genesis-style rebuildable tanks leak if not kept in a verticle position. As a relative new user of rebuildable tanks myself, I have found them to be a little on the fussy side and not as reliable/dependable as my cartotanks. I suggest having a more reliable juice delivery device for portable use.

The Killer 705 is in its first incarnation or version 1.0. It's been my experience that the first version of any new device will have some issues which hopefully subsequent versions will have been worked out.

I use primarily pyrex cartotanks. I've not had any issues of them leaking or had any of the tanks separating from the carto; but then I always practice safe handling of them - even when I carry them in a front pants pocket, I grab them by either the drip tip or more preferably by the mod, not by the tank.

There are minor differences in the "taste", density of filler material, and longivity between carto brands. I've found Smoktechs to have a less dense filler which makes them easier and faster to fill with liquid, but possibly be easier to flood. Boges are the opposite, a more dense filler which makes them slower to fill but less likely to flood and slower to wick in a tank, possibly leading to dry hits.

Although sometimes difficult to find in stock, my preference are Ikenvape cartos. I find them to be less of a factor in influencing a juice's flavor and to last 2 - 3 tankfulls longer than the other two major brands. I've not found much difference between the Platinum or the Fusion and purchase whichever are available.

Don't get me wrong I love my aga t2 and RSST with my ceramic wicks. I work outdoors and now when its getting wormer I will spend more time outside with my kids playing, therefore more use of cartomizers. Since I like sweet juices and vape 6 to 8 ml a day I would easily go 1-2 cartos a day and the price of 5 cartomizers is about 10 to 13 dollars. Wouldn't that be more cost effective to get rebuild able cartomizer? But at the end of the day I will allways enjoy the RBAs.

Although I don't have one yet (there may be one in my distant future), consider a pocket sized bottom feeder box mod like a VMod by Vampage. No cartomizer or polly fill to mess with. Essentially you are dripping on an atomizer with a tank full of juice which is enclosed inside of your mod. Dripping atomizers last far longer than cartomizers.

    VMOD 2.0 and VMOD XL

Nice. The thing is that today I received in mail two prive tanks by kir fan is from gr-modders so I have to stick with cartomizers.

You could also try Kanger ProTank. It's an empty tank--no carto inside--just fill and vape. It's very user-friendly and economical; replacement coils cost ~$1.50, they last a long time and can be cleaned and dry burned.

Fusion vapor has thicker VG liquids and I was having The worst time trying to vape my Phiniac tank with a low resistance carto. Every day I was replacing my Cartos until I tried some other juices and now I tried all the tricks in the book. I use standard resistance now and some of there juices make my cartos not last as long.
But I love my RSST WITH my mech mod. But it's def a home vape for me now that it's setup right.
Has anyone heard any good news on the new PROtank? It's a bottom feeder tank?

guess it's my turn to chime in since bad has said all he can.....

i'm an all day, everyday RBA user now, formerly on team cartotank (i'm still known to pop one up top every once in awhile) and it's all in the way you handle things.

as for the protank, with minor modifications, you can get a really good vape with it.

on the RSST: i think the RSST is more of your problem, i owned two of them for about 3 days before plopping them on the classifieds because they were leaky (flooding juice completely through my EA's airflow control) and that the spring capture was just too stiff, and that the tank was just too volatile....the AGA-T2 is still the best atomizer to come out of china to this day...i can almost guarantee the leaking would go down if you tried one.

as far as my cartotank preference, along with baditude, i much prefer my ikenvape cartomizers with borosilicate (pyrex) glass tanks, if you're gonna vape a cartotank, it's the only way to go, and i don't know who said it, but high VG juices are entirely possible to be vaped out of cartotanks, you just gotta punch some more holes in the things :)
