Honolulu, Hi
I have a q abt using cartos with darker juices. I'm aware that their lifespan is reduced with dark juices, but using prevapings pv4 @18mg nic and 70:30 pg:vg, I only seem to get 3-4 days max out of a smoktech dual coil 1.5 ohm single hole carto in a tank, before the top starts looking pretty black and it starts tasting like crap. I use abt 2-3 ml a day im guessing. With volcano blue water punch @ 16mg in the same setup, a juice that is totally clear, I can get a week out of a cart, probably longer if I didn't feel like I may as well change it for more flavor. Volcano's pear flavor, which is a pretty clear green but has a very strong sweet flavor, is only slightly better than the pv4. I give plenty of primer pulls too since the pv4 definitely wicks a lot worse than the blue water punch. Another odd problem is that the pv4 seems to give leaks where the blue water never does.

Fairly sure my technique is ok too. I drip from the top till I get leakage from the punch in the cargo, load it in the tank, and give a few primer pulls afterwards.

Does this sound abt right? Or should my carts last longer?

Edit: oh and this is all using the same 3.7volt ego batt.

It's hard to tell if your carto priming is adequate from your description, but overall it sounds ok. I personally never cared for low resistance or dual coils. You might want to give single coils a shot. I've found the Ikenvape cartos to last longer than either Smoktech or Boges, but they can often be hard to get.

Bottom line, assuming you were a smoker, you likely spent up to $6 a day on smokes and didn't think much about that. Consider that you are now spending only $2 on a carto that will last 3-4 days to a week. Seems like a good deal.
