Carts that come on the ego question

I just recently got my ego and love it. My question is the ego came with empty carts on it for display i guess with no batting. Are these normal carts? Can I put batting in these and start using them. They don't look any different

The one that comes attached to the mouthpeice should be missing the part where you put the batting in but if you received a pack of 5 empty cartridges with no batting inside, you can certainly fill those with your choice of filler. Blue foam and the nylon mesh of pyriamid teabags seem to be the materials of choice right now. Check out Cartridge Mods for some sweet tutorials.

Yes, they are to protect the atty. I like using the Fluval and some like the Blue Foam.

Or you can just pop it off, drip, then pop it back on.

Yes. I put blue foam in them and they work just like any other cart.
