been reading around but can't seem to recall the answers to these questions:

1. what's the main difference between prepackaged carts and dripping: taste or vapor? and how much of a diff is it? i ordered the 510 from RMV, and some sample liquids from some other site.. so i'm going to have my 510 without the juices for a few days.

2. how do you know when your juice is running low? do you get less vapor? does it burn the cart and u inhale the plastic? inhaling the plastic is a big concern for me, because i know that can't be good at all.

3. about the atomizer.. apparently how long they last varies. but what are the factors? manufacture, if you burn the atomizers, maintenance etc.. what? i still don't understand the main reasons why atomizers vary in terms of durability. are all atomizers of a specific brand made by the same company? for example, since ill be getting the 510.. will the atomizers for the 510 generally be of the same build quality?

1. Unless they are old carts, not likely in a new kit (but possible, I suppose) there won't be much difference between what's in a prefilled cart and the juice (same company and flavor), in taste or vapor.

2. Juice is low when flavor drops. Juice is likely gone if you're getting an off taste (given that the primer fluid has been burnt off already).

Occasionally you'll get an atomizer bridge that is a bit off center and can tend to burn the edge of the top of the cart, esp. if you're hanging on the button. I've read where some people reposition the bridge with a toothpick, but I haven't tried it and wouldn't recommend it, although if it was that bad on one of mine I'd probably give it a go.

Also, occasionally you'll get too much contact of the filler with the atomizer bridge and you'll see the top of your cart filler looking like a Don King haircut. I trim it off and stuff it down with a blunt end of a toothpick or something. If there's some fibers stuck on the atty then take some tweezers and pull it out carefully. Make sure its the filler not the wire mesh of the atty....

3. Most of the 510 kits are made by Joyetech and so many of the attys are as well, not all. And there are various degrees of quality supposedly, but the difference in prices is usually any guarantees that are offered by the vendor - Janty for example has some higher priced attys and some lower priced ones.

Cleaning. Check out the Ecig tech forum:
E-cig Technical Issues - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

There's a lot of threads there on cleaning attys. Some clean every 2 or 3 days, some not at all. There seems to be better longevity with those that clean but there are anecdotal exceptions in both cases. I clean in 151 Everclear, blowout, dryout, then moisten with PG and stick in a ziplock. I haven't lost one in 6 weeks but I have one that may need some attention as of yesterday. So I'l be looking over that forum as well to see if there's any 'shock treatment' - it's not totally dead, just low performing right now.
