Woah!!

Well, that is smart thinking there Evie... If anything does happen again and you are without we will all chip in and send you one charged battery from each of us, and you can send them back when everything is back on track, hows that?

Sounds like a plan but phone and mail didn't work either. I didn't even know if all my family was alive until 6 days. And National Guard would not let anyone in or out.

I found an old (old as in not used anymore) leather vertical glasses case with a belt clip on it that is going to be my new ''mobile case''. It fits 3 Tritons or 2 Tritons and a small bottle of juice. It closes with a leather velcro strap... The only problem is that the VV battery makes the Tritons too long to fit in the case... But I am going to cut out a slot in the leather cover strap so that it will fit in there no problem... or I could just detatch the battery from the tank, but I would like quick access so I will probably just cut the slot out...

I will post pictures when I finish it.

----------

Welp, I did it, and the leather wasn't that old, but old enough to make it start cracking when I started cutting the square out... I ran it under some water to moisten it (should have done that first), but the damage was already done... It is still effective for around the house stuff, but the leather near the cut has cracks all through it so no public appearances for it. The next experiment will involve a very small pipe clamp, or aluminum zip tie with an aluminum pen (shirt sticker oner.... I don't know what to call it)

That is one thing that I really think Halo needs to make.

A nice black case for the guys with the Halo logo on it and one for the ladies.

Here is what I have right now, but I sure wish it had the Halo logo on it.

I would much rather support Halo but they don't have these.

Cindy

That's what I use.. It's black, but I put a halo sticker on it, at least. But I don't put it in my pocket, I carry it in the bag I bring to work. For quick trips around, I usually just carry a bat a tank attached.

Sent from my Sonic Screwdriver using telepathy.

Evie,

Have you looked into a portable solar panel (see link below for an example)? Not only will you be able to charge your e-cigs but also other gadgets (e.g. satellite phone for when cells towers go down).

SOLARROLL® | Brunton

That's a really good idea and thanks for thinking of me Chicken Menudo but at $435.00 it is a bit high for me. Although it is really cool!!!

You can get a 12 volt solar setup without spending $435. My God, that's a mondo ripoff. A quick Ebay search - 20 - 40 bucks. Use the car mini 12 volt charger and some creative wiring to a 12 volt receptacle and you are in. The Halo 12 volt mini charger is rated at 12 - 24 volts to 5 volt @ 1 amp. Seeing as how the charger will handle up to 24 volts, you won't need a separate charge controller. '12 volt' solar panels can reach 18 volts or higher in bright sun, that's why they need separate controllers. The car charger seems to be a regulated 5 volt step down linear power supply (I noticed it gets a little warm with the truck charging at 14.7 volts, runs cooler at rest). You would need a 10 watt panel, maybe get away with 8 watts (it is rated at 5 watts - 5v @1amp). The only downfall would be the size, they are not tiny, and you would look kinda silly walking down the street. It would be great for camping/hiking/hunting/fishing/outdoor no grid activities though. It would be even cooler if you could find one the size of the case and make it part of the case.

The more expensive panels are already wired, charge controlled, and waterproof. For 400 extra bucks I think you can come up with something.

For power failures, a simple 12 volt receptacle with alligator clips, the car charger, and a charged up 12 volt battery would suffice. Or, just charge em in your car.

I've been using a case logic portable hard drive case. It does the job, but I need more control of things moving around. So I too am looking for an alternative.

Amazon.com: Case Logic PHDC-1 Compact Portable Hard Drive Case (Black): Computers & Accessories

Aptivus I have my eye on this one, because of the netting and stuff, things will rattle around less.

Hey! Now that might be my best option! Looks like it would hold everything pretty good! Thanks FallenRawToast!

I was also looking at one of these, but I like your idea better!

The Grid-it's are great, for organizing things already in a bag. For me, they wouldnt be ideal for my vapware, because they would still need to be put in another back, since they dont close up themselves.

What I think is an ideal vapware case, is self contained, closeable.

I agree about self containment. I keep my vap stuff in the case logic in my briefcase, but when I go out I just carry the case logic. I just ordered one of the Amazon Basics you linked, we'll see how it does!

On another note, the grid-its for your sun visor are simply awesome, just FYI if you haven't seen them yet.
