Greetings:
Since I started vaping (about a month ago) and put down analogs, our cat, who always avoided me like a kennel full of Pit Bulls, camps on my lap and donates hair to every garment I wear. I was a pack a day smoker for over 40 years and the family cat had been less than friendly toward me since we got him about ten years ago. It seems that the cat just didn't like the smell of tobacco on my cloths and me. After about a week of vaping, no cigarettes, no ashtrays and no tobacco breath, the cat decided that I had now become his favorite piece of furniture. This was highly noticeable to my wife . Unfortunately, last Friday evening, while in the back yard, I smoked an analog offered to me by a neighbor. I then went in the house and sat in my/the cat's favorite chair. The cat sniffed my clothes, then me and promptly walked away. For the rest of the night he walked around me as if i was surrounded by an electric fence. This was also noticed by my wife who has been on my case about smoking ever since. Today, he has taken up residence in my lap again whenever I sit in "our" chair. Now my wife watches the cat's to see if I been smoking. Good thing he doesn't seem to mind the smell of beer, the little Tuna breathed hairy stool pigeon.
Thanks for letting me vent. OldDude1

LOL

This thread is great, it helped me to choose an avatar.

My cat always liked to sit on me in the evenings(and of course across my keyboard if I had my laptop out). When I started vaping he was very curious. I think it was the little snap, krackle, pop, sizzle sound that first got his attention. The LED then caught his eye. Now, whenever I take a puff he tries to whack that thing right out of my mouth. It's more cute than annoying, so he hasn't been flung yet. At first he cowered from the vapor, thinking it was the smoke from a burning 'log, but now he just looks at it with a look of curiosity. Next he will probably try chasing the mist, and end up landing in my face.

First post, glad to be here.

Glad you enjoyed it Uncle Screwtape. When they are not trying to bite you, both pets and relatives can be very entertaining. OldDude1
LOL I haven't vaped in front of the relatives yet. I use to get banished to the front porch to smoke. It will be interesting when I whip it out at Thanksgiving. My sisters heads may explode. Cool.

hahahaha OldDude. That's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. I'd say, that unless your cat comes to a premature end somehow, you're screwed. LOL. Which reminds me of an old line: "Say what you will about cats, but anybody that doesn't like cats.......... (here it comes, get ready).........simply doesn't know how to cook them properly" <rimshot>

Okay...it was JUST a joke......really.:p
