My cats, for the 5 years I smoked after they adopted me, would get up and leave the room when I lit up. They were very clear about not liking the smell. When I switched to vaping, they both decided my lap was their preferred loungeing venue. They thought the cigalike, with light-up tip, was a new laser toy. They have yet to figure out a way for both of them, plus laptop, to fit on my lap. It's a work in progress...

That is a cute story. My kitty wants my PV and I have to keep it from him because of the PG. He likes the smell of some juices, but I've had a couple he actually ran from.

It's funny, he causes 90% of the messes in the house with cat litter and fur all over, but if it's been awhile since I've cleaned, he'll shake imaginary stuff off his paws in the kitchen to show disapproval of my housekeeping. So yea, my cat is a human-owner.

I adopted two boys nearly a year ago, and have been trying to make their stay here as healthy and happy as I can. All three of us are very picky about food, I only feed them from stainless steel dishes washed twice daily, and the litter pan is stainless steel - cleaned daily and washed weekly.

The one shortcoming I've had though... being a pack-a-day indoor smoker. Now that I vape, I don't feel guilty about my cats being crammed inside my apartment with my nicotine addiction. Neither of them ever ran for cover when I smoked, but it really bothered me. Both of my cats can come bug me at any time now for a good petting, and I don't have to worry about secondhand smoke nor an ashtray getting knocked off my desk.

After losing the last of our previous cats, one who wanted to be the only cat in the house and wouldn't tolerate newcomers, we now have three kittens. Life at home is non-stop, hilarious insanity, interspersed with eating and sleeping, often curled up on a lap or my chest... and we love it! They have no issues with my vaping.
