Obviously once you read this I wont have to say Im a noob but I just wanted to let any other noobs to know (I hope their smarter than I). When you clean your atty they recommend after boiling or soaking with vinegar and water that you use a blow dryer to completely dry out the inside of your atty (water BAD). Well for starters, use an oven mit to hold on to the suckers cause they get hot (duh) and also make sure you let it cool a little before you blow it out (double duh) My lip hurts. I'd cry old age but my mother has it together better than I do most of the time and shes 20 years older...LMAO Heavy sigh....please be kind with your responses as I am frail.....Just kidding. Say what you will. But if I can save 1 set of lips I have done my job. : )

I can *so* relate! I have this nuclear hairdryer, and I was holding the atty while trying to dry it - very shortly finding out that it got hothothothothot! I must say, I felt like an idjit hopping around my kitchen with atty in one hand and hairdryer in another, desperately looking for a place to put down the atty and/or the hairdryer and grab a potholder... Have you noticed that pain can *really* affect both your cognitive abilities and your hand-eye coordination? I ended up dropping both on my bit toe...

I swear, my dog was laughing at me...

Are you serious? That's hard to believe! Can that really happen?
Could you maybe the next time that happens grab a camera and take a
picture for me? I've never seen a laughing dog before

What, and drop my camera on my other big toe? No way. I may be an idjit, but I am not *that* much of an idjit! Next time I'll just set my hairdryer on "warm", thank you very much.

And dogs do too laugh. Mine just sort of sits there with her head cocked, her ears drooping (looks really stupid on a German Shepherd) and a big tongue-hanging-out grin on her fuzzy face. That's doggy laughter. :D

Cheers,
Briar.

Don't feel bad.. I had a crappy weekend too. So I decided to clean my 3 perfectly fine atomizer and I ended up completely killing all 3.
Now I have my GGT in hand without an atomizer.. This is killing me..

Oh, man, that's bad... My sympathies. Are you totally sure they are dead? Mine only went funky after four cleanings in a row (don't ask, told you I'm an idjit). Sometimes they come back...

I killed three attys this weekend too. They all still make vapor, but one inevitably smells like burnt paper, one makes very little vapor, and the third smells like burning metal no matter what I do with it. My diagnosis at this point? Too much cleaning. <sigh>

Henceforth and forevermore, if blowing out doesn't fix 'em I'm leaving them alone.

At least I have two more left. And I'm *not* cleaning them.

Hey, I hope you get your replacements soon.

Cheers,
Briar.

Wow....I feel sooooo much smarter than I did when I posted my stupid stunt....Thank you soooo much. Hows the toe btw? Pain can sorta put your brain on "pause". I'll grab a hot plate at work (im a waitress) and start to take it out then the pain sets in and I just lock up and look around trying to find a casual place to put it down...not be able to find one....walk back to the kitchen and then set it down anywhere....floor, sink, table...just screaming on the inside for relief.

The first time I cleaned my atty I thought I had killed it but guess I got lucky cause it came back to life. Are you positive they are dead and not just "sleeping"? I'm sure your probably smarter than I am since I'm still sitting here with a burn on my lip that looks like face herpes. I hate thinking that your going crazy when theyre might be a chance to revive at least 1 of those babys.......

I think the actual warning here should be "Caution: Do not put things you know are very hot IN YOUR MOUTH..."

Sorry. ;)

For everyone who's having burnt atty problems - are you all remembering to re-prime your attys after you dry them? Since most of us aren't patient enough to put a fresh cart on and let it sit for a few minutes while the atty soaks up the liquid, it's a good idea to put a drop or two of juice directly on the bridge of the atty as well, before you use it...
