Towards the bottom Mitchell Zeller makes an interesting statement.

I wish that reporter got this quote right.

As I said I wish/hope that it's a correct statement made by Mitchell Zeller.

But I have some doubts.

Zeller was simply pointing out that today's FDA announcement didn't impact e-cigarettes.

Here's what I sent out today about FDA's announcement on SE applications.

Since this is a paraphrase by the article's author and not a direct quote, I can't let myself get too optimistic about it. Zeller may well have said something "close but no cigar" like "E-cigarettes are still not being regulated by the FDA, and can't be considered drugs as long as they don't make health claims." I too would love to know if the interview was recorded and if so whether the statement could be confirmed/verified that way.

(That being said, I really really REALLY want it to be an accurate paraphrase!)

I was hoping for a good announcement for a change, after reading that Blu (and ws it njoy, USA?) was/were snapped up by Big tobacco in a recent move. And with Playboy Empire in the game, maybe our industry just took a quantum leap?! If that paraphrase is confirmed as a quote, I'm all in. Now I'm getting excited!
