I looked and could not find anything about this on ECF, so thought I would ask. I was refilling a "stainless" CE2 the other day and noticed the inner ring was a pale green. Confused about this I started to investigate. I noticed on the inside of the CE2 tube was incomplete plating over what looked to be copper. I could see where the plating ran out toward the top of the tube, so I thought I would verify because I could not believe CE2 Rev4 cartos were actually copper tubes plated with chrome I guess. I started to hit the tubing with a file and sure enough, they are copper! What the hell? Isn't copper supposed to be extremely harmful if inhaled? It was obvious that my juice was reacting with the copper. How the hell are these marketed as stainless? Hasn't anybody else noticed this? Did I miss something?

Good of you to post about this. Nope, copper isn't a good material for our e-cig attys. The verdigris (green stuff) consists of several poisonous copper compounds and will contaminate the liquid for sure. While in that small amount it probably won't kill ya, I personally wouldn't continue to use them.

I hope you'll try to get some good pics and inform other members in the appropriate area of the forum to be aware of this issue. PM me when you do with the link to the thread. I'd be interested to see.

Also, it would be good if you could contact the original vendor, send them pics, or perhaps that CE2 and have them follow up on it (and with you) with the manufacturer of those. Hopefully, they'll refund you or replace with another product.
