Can you put a standard(1.4" long total) CE2 with the clear case into a standard tank and drill holes in the tube? If so, how many and where do you drill the holes? Same as a boge or kanger?

I got some CE2s thrown into an order one time and tried one. Couldn't get anything other than burnt taste. I've got another one out and have taken it apart, fluffed the wick and put back together with the silicone seal placed higher. Which is, from what I've been reading, the fix for a burnt taste.
I don't even know what resistance the CE2s are. Just hoping I can drill a few holes and throw it into a tank to fill and feed it.

Thanks.

The DCTanks are just under 1" and 3/4" so you would have to cut the tube on the tank down for the regular CE2 to fit..the XL CE2's fit good as they are 2"..you might be able to use an extension or put a longer tube on a shorter CE2 but then you would only be able to fill the tank as high as the top seal in the CE2..so cutting down the tank tube would be best. I also believe someone sell shorter tanks..I believe the Mini-Sub Tank that costs $9.49 for just the tank might work from Mom and Pop Vapor shop but I don't see any measurements.

Thanks for the reply. What about hole placement and how many? Two bottom holes same as for any standard carto? I think I saw you post about a hole at the bottom and one at the top in another thread. But I don't get how you refill your tank then since you would have to have at least one of the holes pulled out of the tank when refilling and the juice would just run through. No?

One hole/slot near the top of the tank and one near the bottom..or you can also just cut the CE2 tube so the bottom just goes into the tank and use the top part to just go through the top holding onto the rubber cup..I prefer slotting so far ..you fill it the same way you fill a normal CE2 but if the holes/slots are small you need to go slow...

Edit: See this post and the pic in it for an example of a cut CE2 tube in a tank http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-cartomizer-tank-discussion/281914-ce2-tanks.html#post5664034..I'm sure if you search around these forums you can find other examples of cut, slotted or drilled CE2's in tanks too.

I did that once by making a homemade tank out of 5 ml syringes and stoppers, using a slotted clearomizer in the center instead of a cartomizer. Worked ok, but there were slight wicking issues when the juice would get low; getting it to the wick, which was captured inside the center tube. Always thought I would eventually try making a couple holes in the tube and running the wicks through them and outside the center tube. They came out with the Stone CE2 tanks so I never did.
