One thing I just thought of is maybe using a hose crimp like the ones used on PEX water line, not the ones that have huge tighteners but a compress brass or stainless ring. I have the tool, not sure if the make a die that small though.

Might even be able to get some of those older cable tv connectors with crimp connectors and the die from that and use it. just would have to use a saw to cut around the crimping portion of the connector to make a useable/crimpable ring.

This would allow for more durability possible better seal/seating and add strength to the pen tube at the connector so it might not begin to wallow out from being jostled and jolted around.

chiming in with what turbo said...you can get BD syringes from mad vapes for I think 59-79 cents and they are way plenty tight...mine doesn't come close to leaking and when you take the label off the carto tube it leaves a sticky residue, which if you don't mind for aesthetic purposes seems to help with the tightness of the seal...

And are you using any sort of compound around the fitting, or is the pressure from the pen enough? Also how sturdy is this? Or is there any fear of the tube falling off and spilling liquid all over. I love this mod, I think it's the only real pet peeve I have with the CE2's, you don't know that you are out of liquid for sure unless you disassemble or play the waiting game.... "AM I vaping too soon and not allowing time to wick or am I out, well I'll wait a few minutes and see if it gets better". with this it just takes a glimpse and you know.

I was interested in this mod as a way of knowing the liquid level, would like to keep the cart width as close to original as possible.

Proper selection of the tube.
I like the extra volume but the folks using the syringes end up with 0-rings that fit and seal .
Mine don't leak out the bottom, just out the top when you tilt them up when really full.
