I bought 3 packs of these with my first order and when I first filled them they rocked! A whole lot less leaking than the clear ones I had before, so that is a plus. I am still using my first box and am noticing that they don't seem to be working as well. I probably fill them once a day. I try to keep them full just cause I can't see how much is in there. I have also heard about wick fluffing? What is that? I have rolled them around and tipped them up to get the juice to the wick, but it doesn't seem to be working. They start out with a good hit, then it starts to taste like metal. Any help would be great. These will be expensive if they are only one use then throwaway. I am diggin my xoxo juice as well, gotta get more soon, thanks!

Ok, I can probably help out with this one a little bit. First off what color are the two pieces of rubber that you have to take out to fill up the cartomizer? Also in each box there should be a blunt tip needle for refilling, is it white plastic or metal? Some of their older cartomizers had a really bad problem with wicking and therefore get that burnt metal taste. I'm wondering if you may have gotten one of those. Their rev 4 cartomizers no longer have this problem.

Also make sure you are keeping them full of efluid. If you start to get a burnt taste it may be low on fluid. I generally fill mine 3-4 times a day. Hope this helps a little bit.

Sir, the needles that came with them is blunt tip metal, does that mean these are an old version? They have the end mouth piece plug and the small doughnut inside that u have to remove to put the juice thru the other ring. This is new to me since my old clearos did not have that. I have been tipping them, rolling them and I have also tried putting a drop, just one on the wick I can see. Not enough o leak thru the battery end of course, that seems to help. But what is wick fluffing? Am I imagining things? Thought I heard that...lol thank u

I take the plug on the bottom around the ceramic cup out...throw that away... fill with juice via your bottle...replace center O ring back down over top the cup...insert drip tip.rubber tip and vape...tilt upside down every few hits to rewick the juice. You shouldn't get any leaking or burnt taste after doing this.

Ok so I saw a video on clearos, (mine are not clear) and they can be taken part and cleaned, can the same thing be done with these? Someone also suggested vinegar for the coils to get the gunk off, has anyone done this? Are all the revisions different, or the same design with tweaks? And another question, what is the purpose of the lil doughnut? Do u have to put that back in? Thanks for the suggestions, and keep them coming! I am gonna figure these buggers out! Lol

i havent had anyone complain about a metal taste, it could be that the carto isnt full enough. since they are not clear it is hard to tell when they are full or not. you can either measure it out with a syringe or you can fill it until it no longer absorbs any liquid. The only time i have heard of people cleaning the cartomizers is after quite a few uses they will just boil them in water once they start having a weak performance. We have not cleaned them here, and i havent done it personally so i cannot give more insight on cleaning them. Most people use the cartos a few times and then just toss them. The little doughnut part is just another part of the carto that helps keep it all together, it does have to be replaced. Personally i drip, i have only used cartomizers once....i just like going between flavors too much to stick with one for the whole use of a carto. I will check with our lounge team to see if they have any more input, i know most of them use cartos.

Yes you can take apart the metal cartos just like the clearomizers. They both have the same guts. I have never used the vinegar cleaning method. I generally don't bother cleaning out ce2 cartomizers. I see them as disposable. You can clean them, but its really a pain. You are gunna need a small brush of some sort to clean off the coils inside. Thats where your burnt taste is coming from. I've also found that the metal cartos can be a royal pain to put back together. Just because you can't see how everything is lined up inside. I know some people have had good luck cleaning them with ultra sonic cleaners. However those things are not cheap. The way I see it, I used to spend $6 a day on cigarettes. 5 cartos can generally last me about 2.5 weeks at $12 a pack. Thats roughly 67 cents per day. To me its not worth going through the hassle of trying to clean them out.

All the revisions up to this point have just been tweaking and fixing small problems. Rev 1 through 3 were kind of a disaster. The rev 4 work great for me though. I don't have a clue on that lil doughnut. I personally leave them in. A lot of people just toss them though. I can't see a difference either way.

Hope this helps some. Keep the questions coming!

Optimo, I am trying to make sure I understand, u said u take the lil ring, the doughnut after the mouthpiece out and throw that away? Right? Then u said u fill with a bottle? I still have to use a needle and fill through the small holes on the side. Are u taking that part out when u fill? Does that part come out on this version? I have seen on videos ppl taking that out then filling with a bottle then putting it back in. I don't think mine will come out. I am keeping them full, since I cant see them, and I tilt them to make sure they are wet. I am used to doing this with all top fed cartos, clearos. I am wondering now if maybe the juice is just too thick to wick?

Yeah they don't wick that great, and from what I've read even people using pure PG can have problems. I take the tube off and then 'fray' out the wicks, so it isn't a rope. Something I just did that works really awesome, I'll try to explain but, when you look at the ceramic pot there is 2 divots that hold the wick. So looking at it, you have a divot on the left, and on the right. Take the wick on the left and pull it gently over the coil and run it through the divot on the right. So when you look at it you have both wicks attached to the divot on the right, and the left wick is draped over the coil. I mark the tube on the side that the two wicks are on so when I vape and lean my PV, I lean it so the juice will run into both of the wicks. And also, you can just drip heavy on it if you like that or if it gets dry at all, and it won't flood because of the wicking material on top of the coil. I don't use any of the rings inside either. Just did this about 15 minutes ago but with this mod this is the best performance out of any atty or carto I've used.

Say wha???? .......swissy thanks for the advice, I am going to have to read this a few times to get it. I will try it and let u know! :)

sorry had a hard time explaining it, could take a picture sometime I suppose.. In a nutshell, I take the wick from the left side, pull it over the top of the coil and tuck it in the right side and put the tube back on, so when you look down you don't see the coil but the wick laying on ontop of the coil. If that makes sense ;p
