I recently started using the Ego-T which came with the CE4 Clearomizer. Being the rookie that I am, I purchased a couple extra clearomizers since I know they don't last forever. Well, they are pretty much all shot. I'm waiting on a pro tank mini to come in the mail and I have no idea when it will be here. Hopefully tomorrow, but more than likely Thursday.

Of the 3 clearomizers I have, I've got 2 of them soaking to try and clean them out. I am puffing on one, but it is not performing very well. And I barely used this one at all, so not sure why it wore out so fast.

I've wasted a lot of e-liquid playing around and trying to get these to work to no avail.

I may have to buy a pack of cigs tomorrow to get me through until Thursday....not sure this tank that I'm using will last like I need it to.

Lesson learned, I guess.

I've gone through a few too, just fine... But I recently got a couple of new ones and this one for some reason feels likes it's constantly over heating and/or burning. My vapor gets pretty hot. I hate wasting my money! May upgrade to a different system because of this one incident... but, damn these CE4s are so inexpensive and perfect because I'm broke. Lol. Bad CE4 night for the both of us

Nothing wrong with CE4;s..they are very common and used by thousands of people...very simple tooo...but they only last 3-4 weeks and then ya need to clean them with hot tap water a few times and dry burn...or just replace them cuz they are only $1.25 each at $12.75 CE4 1.6mL Electronic Cigarettes Round Mouth Atomizer (10-Pack) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

here's how to clean them..

Those nails are FABULOUS!!!!!!

gay12.jpg

hah
And daggum...that 70's porno tune...wooo!

What is the Ω's on those CE4's if you happen to know?

P.S. It's best to not put anything "mechanical" on the coils...it could cause the coils to deform and short or hotspot

Hang in there! Sorry to hear you're not getting much joy from these things. I'd suggest ordering (real) Kanger T2's at 2.2 ohm as your backups (about 2.50 a clearo) - the heads are replaceable and they're proprietary to eGo batteries. Can;t speak for the knock off Kanger versions but the real ones are very trustworthy, and don't leak or burn out too fast (replacement heads cost around $1.50 if you shop around). Any chance of buying a cig-alike from the 7-11/Walmart to tide you over meantime? Anyway, Hi to both of you and welcome to the forum.

I bought an el-cheapo USB bypass...it runs at 5vdc (its USB) and the CE4 was 2.2Ω...which means it runs at 11+ watts! I haven't burnt it yet...but occasionally I do taste hot metal

I finally found a vape store near where I work and the sell the Kanger Pro Tanks. I bought one, and got a 20% discount since I was a first time customer. Awesome. They were selling them for about $20, and I got it for about $16. Glass will last forever unless I break it. All I have to do is replace the coils, which I can buy cheap, and with proper cleaning they should last a while. So glad I did this. Still waiting for the pro tank mini I ordered in the mail. I wouldn't mind maintaining my CE4's...but it just takes too much time and hassle. This is definitely a lower maintenance easier way to go. And even though the CE4's are cheap, I think in the long run I will save money with this more permanent solution. And this new tank burns better and more smoothly...and most importantly, it's consistent!

Ain't bottom coils nice! ;)

Just a word of caution about that "more permanent solution" thing: If this is an original ProTank they have a track record of being weak at the 510 threads and will break off if you aren't careful. Use the eGo threaded "beauty ring" provided for extra support, don't over tighten when screwing on, and whatever you do - don't drop the thing.

To begin with when you read this I want you to know that I am not talking to you like your stupid. I had to learn the same way...

*****Start running hot water from your kitchen faucet.****

1). Hold Tank with metal ring at round mouth piece between thumb and index finger of left hand.

2). Take ahold of the mouth piece with your right and twist it toward you and keep twisting until it gently pulls off.

3). Pour juice in tank back into original bottle.

4). Hold tank by bottom metal ring between thumb and index finger on left hand.

5). Take ahold of the rough metal ring with the thumb and index finger of your right and twist your right hand towards you. Keep twisting until the entire thing slides right out.

6). Hold the metal cylinder at a 45 degree angle and place the wicks under the hot running tap water for about 3 mins, giving them a turn every now and then. You can rinse the metal stem but DO NOT get any water into the cylinder part that is between your thumb and index finger. You you do then it has to dry for about 24 hrs.

7). Take cylinder out of the running water.

8). Holding the bottom of the cylinder with you right thumb and index finger, take ahold of the rubber cap and wicks of the atomizer with your left thumb and index finger and twist until it comes lose. Don't worry about damaging the wicks. they will be fine.

9). When you get the wicks off place them some where to dry for 24 hrs.

10). dry the metal cylinder off very week with a terry cloth towel.

11). putt a new wick on the same way you too the other one off, and put your CE4 back together backwards of how you took it part and viola. you have just cleaned your CE4.

May I make a very good suggestion? Go EVOD... These are less messier to fill, clean, change atomizer, etc. etc. etc.

I'm glad you were able to get something to use and the Protank is awesome. I have 2 and I just love using them. You might notice that some flavor seem a bit muted when using the protank so if you buy your juice somewhere where you can get extra flavor shots I would recommend doing that. Also if you really like the protank you can get them from fast tech a bit cheaper:

$12.09 Authentic Kanger Protank Clearomizer with Pyrex Glass Tank (2.5mL) - blue /1.8

But shipping usually takes about 2 weeks.
My first protank I bought cost me $25 but it was worth it to have it right then and to be able to talk to the sales woman about it and have a better understanding about how to use it but the next 2 I bought I got from FT. I only have 2 protanks now cuz my mother in law used one of mine and really liked it so she bought one of mine from me.

Thanks, but the CE4's I had were the non rebuildable ones. I think they may also have been an "off" brand and the quality probably wasn't that great. I got the pro tank and the pro tank mini and am very pleased. No issues, no messiness!

Yes, bottom coils are awesome! I am totally using the "beauty" ring. Never even thought not to. And although I am a klutz by nature, I never did drop my cigarettes, surely won't drop my e-cig. :) Either way...glass and bottom coils are the way to go.
